OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

I watched, but I don’t really know how to explain what happened. Just awful execution down the stretch. Down 4 starters or not, kind of pathetic.

So frustrating to be giving up W’s year after year by having a dog**** medical staff. Can’t be a coincidence that this happens every year.

Not saying this as an excuse, but an explanation. I think fatigue had a lot to do with the L last night. Very short-handed, 2nd of back-to-back and our fourth game in either 5 or 6 nights.

A lot of the turnovers late in the 4th came off of just silly/telegraphed passes. Kind of things guys like Nic Batum don’t normally do.

But no real rest for the weary yet. Denver tomorrow. :frown:

Get well (real) soon, everybody.

guess we're gonna pick up cousins lol not sure what he brings to the table but guess he'll be worth a tryout for the 10 day contract

Eh. Another big body to have around, more than anything. He’s pretty worthless defensively, but can still score all right.

Don’t love it; don’t hate it.

so last night was one of those "we got a chip on our shoulder because the league thinks were the worst team in the league after our starts left" type of win from the magic similar to how the rockets were earlier this year when they made that run to try and prove they didnt need harden

i think anyone was just meant to lose that game no matter who played the magic

Checked the injury report just now and looks like it’s going to be the same group we had available against the Magic for the game tonight. Yikes.

yikes short handed and only one day rest against an improving denver team, gonna expect this to get out of hand by the half unless our guys are shooting lights out and denver has a terrible shooting night

i really hope we don't have to play denver again in the playoffs, they're looking real good against us with the addition of gordon.

If we had shown up in the 1st quarter, might have been different. Another great effort by T Mann. He’s honestly been our best player behind Kawhi recently. Zu was solid. Everyone else was sub-par, so we took the L.

Probably a good thing we don’t play again until Sunday.

looks like our first game back with fans is gonna be the 18th against minny

won't be fully vaccinated till that weekend, but decided to put myself on the waitlist for the playoffs, hopefully the fans coming back brings some much needed energy to the guys

If we are gonna beat Denver in the playoffs, we are gonna need ibaka healthy. His length and athleticism (as it directly relates to jokic lack thereof) is needed.

Oan

^^^ I’m definitely worried about the Serge situation. A player having back issues always scares me.

And I read yesterday that PG’s foot thing is a chronic condition that’s going to take a while to get better. He said he’s just going to have to accept playing with some pain. No bueno. :frown:

Yeah. To be classified as a "sore back" he's been out for a while.

PG - rule #76 no excuses, play like a champion.

lawdog1 lawdog1 don't get it twisted though...I have faith in PG.

I believe injury or no injury, he's gonna be ready for the playoffs.

If he stays aggressive, doesn't settle for jumpers, gets to the line, he'll be ok.

^^^ Wish I had the same confidence in PG. Him smoking point-blank, fast beak lay-ups like he did against Denver doesn’t help. :smh:

But I’m rooting for him.

its all mental for him, he's gotta get past that hump, but i have faith in him too

as for being aggressive and driving down the lane, i just hate how refs never give him a call for the foul. he does contort his body and all that, but there's time where its pretty clear he gets fouled but it doesnt get called.

I agree. The narrative they have put on PG and the fact that her and kawhi aren't the most squeaky wheels out there hurts them. But, as of a few days ago, they were doing better. An occasional ejection and or a fine for complaining and criticizing good a long way.

big key piece i feel that isn't mentioned during that span was how much better Zu has been playing as a starter lately in place of Ibaka. just adds to how i think the bigger issue with our team going back to last year would be the big man rotation and not so much that lack of a "true" point guard
