OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

big key piece i feel that isn't mentioned during that span was how much better Zu has been playing as a starter lately in place of Ibaka. just adds to how i think the bigger issue with our team going back to last year would be the big man rotation and not so much that lack of a "true" point guard
Yes. I feel like rondo will help zu even more. One thing I know about big goofy mf like him is, you have to be aware of what kind of passes you can throw to him...what he can handle and what he can't.

Imo, if we are healthy-ish, give 100% and don't ruin into those Clippers curse moments, I can live with the results.

I think if we can do those things, we are good enough to win the west.

agree with lawdog1 lawdog1 on rondo, nothing spectacular and seems like he's prob just slowly getting adjusted to the new team

looks like once pat and ibaka are back, we'll prob expect minutes to be cut a bit from mann and luke

Rondo was in the corner for a possession, I believe kawhi had the ball in the post with the shot clock running down, rondo shouted MOVE MOVE MOVE!!!

Every player cut and filled...they were previously ball watching.

Rondo was rusty, but imo, he's exactly what was needed.

He also got great penetration with the lateral drives (drives towards the free throw line instead of the rim) which resulted in 2 made corner 3s.

The pace when rondo was in was great as well

I understand this but I still want Mann to get at least 20 minutes a night. The kid impacts the game too much to not have him in

I was wondering before the game yesterday what the hold up with the Cousins signing is, but during the broadcast they said the team is just waiting for him to clear COVID protocols.

As long as he doesn’t get hurt again, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get signed for the remainder of the season. We definitely need another big on the roster, especially considering Serge’s back situation. And Cousins is tight with Rondo.

I had read that the team had until today to sign a player. We had dipped below the minimum roster requirement and the deadline to sign someone was today. So I don’t think it was any surprise that we waited until today. I wanted Cousins last year. Idk whathe could offer this year but it’s the ultimate low risk-high reward signing.

unfortunately the 2 moves we made this deadline was acquiring the 2 players I hate most in the league.

HIM HIM it's going to be difficult to find time for Mann/rondo/Jackson/Beverly/kennard when it comes time.
I think we might see alot of 2 point guard back courts with PG and kawhi at the 3 and 4...serve at the 5. Imo

Pretty confident Reggie is going to be the odd-mann-out just because he brings the least to the table defensively. How much Kennard plays will depend on how confidently he’s performing. And I have no faith in Beverly staying healthy.

So, I think Mann is going to end up continuing to get solid rotation minutes.

I pray that everyone is healthy and confident come playoff time...but I know it's a pipe dream

I'd love to see Mann get some starts in the regular season before playoffs as well...

I know Reggie has played well but he would be the odd man out for me. And maybe even Luke, too. To me, Reggie does better when we’re missing Multiple guys or one of the stars. The issue I have with him is he’ll still take questionable shots even when Kawhi and PG are on the court. Luke has been playing well but Mann is more consistent and he brings defense, rebounding, paint penetration, and energy.

Like I said, I can defintely understand if they cut Mann’s minutes down but I would prefer he gets the most out of that group.

im not mad with what i saw from boogie in that short spurt! might as well sign him for the rest of the season after tonight

kinda expected our shooting to regress and portland to start knocking baskets down but sheesh couldnt even respond back on any of their runs.

we need to cut more of those reggie minutes though and give em to mann the second half
