OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

That was a frustrating loss. Game was right there, but every time we were in position to get the lead we’d turn it over or give up an offensive rebound - bucket.

Credit to Phoenix though. You could tell they really wanted that game and were on the winning end of most of the 50/50 plays because of it.

Phoenix is definitely a tough team that came to play yesterday

super frustrating seeing the turnovers/offensive rebounds given up last night when we had ourselves in multiple situations where pulled close with momentum on our side. not sure if it was only me, but as frustrated as i was with our guys sloppy play, kinda felt like ty lue had some questionable decisions with his rotations/subs last night too. could just be him doing some last minute experimenting before the playoffs, but it would've been so good to just get the dub

I also found the rotations last night a bit puzzling, particularly the lack of Zu minutes in the second half. I definitely would have managed things differently if I was Ty, but hopefully he had good reasons for doing what he did.

haha alright i thought i was the only one being super puzzled by the lack of Zu minutes and going small ball for so much of the game and also letting Pat Pat stay in to get cooked by CP3

hopefully Ty has his reasons, but like it was mentioned during the game, he's gonna have some tough decisions cutting the rotation down

And this is why the loss to the Pels hurt. We know the Suns was going to be tough in their building so if we would've taken care of business against the Pels, this loss wouldn't have hurt us that much in the standings. Hopefully with these 2 days off, guys like Kawhi and Serge can be back in the lineup against Denver. We are only 1 game ahead of them so if we want to keep the 3rd seed, we need to win! Although falling to the 4th seed to match up against the 5th seeded Lakers in the 1st round would be fun!

must win against the nuggets tonight, a loss means they tie with the nuggets and possibility of dropping to fourth and playing the lakers in the first round

a win gives them some gap between them and come closer to getting a second place and mor eimportanlty, taking some confidence away from denver

Ty’s rotations still kind of weird. No Luke, no Boogie when we’re struggling to score? I don’t get it.

yah patpat out there makes no sense if he’s not making anything, when joker out, boogie should be there bullying milsap and green

If we can get some 3s to go, we should be ok. Mook, PG and PatPat all shooting like ****.

weird rotations for sure and i’m low key starting to get a bit nervous with ty but giving the benefit of the doubt as we haven’t had a full healthy squad with this current roster yet

i will say this though, the stretch where shots weren’t falling in the 2nd gave me deep PTSD of our meltdown

PG’s had a rough stretch starting with the NO game. Hopefully he snaps out of it soon.

Bench really hurt us last couple games. Got dominated in the 2nd quarters by Cam Payne and Frank Kaminski, then Milsap and J Mike Green.

We are still going to need a healthy serge for the nuggets in the playoffs.

This 3 game slide puts a monkey wrench in catching the suns and jazz. It's still possible...but man.

To look up and see us in the 4 slot is like...wow. Especially when at the beginning of the week we were in position to be the 2 and a half game out of the 1 slot

Jokic is one of my favorite players in the league, but when I see him, I'm gonna slap him.

You've got to be physical with the nuggets man. Jokic, MPJ etc. You've gotta to "touch em up" like shaq would say. You let them be finesse and pretty, you're gonna lose.

There were at least 2 plays in the 3rd where joker pump faked at the 3 point line and walked down the lane for an easy layup or dunk. That just can't happen.

thats why boogie was so effective, there were a couple of dumb fouls that i feel like he didnt deserve but not was he more physical ont he defensive end, he was also able to score on the other end

I agree. Boogie along with serge being longer, more athletic and with quicker feet...and able to stretch the floor on the other end like boogie did will force jokic to work on the defensive end as well.

Jim Jackson doing the Nets-Bucks game, so not doing our game. That makes me feel better. I swear our record is not good when he calls game.

I really hate when centers play drop coverage pnr on shooters. I would much rather give up a layup vs. A rotating defense in lieu of an open 3 to a shooter. Fvv has 2 3s vs. Drop coverage already
