OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

^^^ I didn’t know the numbers were that bad, but that’s been a concern for me all season. If we don’t win by double digits, we generally lose.

lawdog1 lawdog1 I don't know how reliable a statistic that is though. What the nba defines as clutch time minutes is usually influenced by how a team is performing for a good portion of the game, or the second half imo.

But we can all see this team struggles in the last few minutes of the game at times. That's a fact.

These damn unforced turnovers has been a real concern! PG had 6 TO by himself. Don't understand why he's trying to be a playmaker when we have Rondo and Pat Bev back. He needs to strictly needs to be a scorer and only swing that ball if he's not open. Need April PG back for the Playoffs. T Mann needs to be apart of the Playoff rotations. He's earned it and plays with energy. I also read that Zu will be our starter moving forward and Serge will come off the bench. Like lawdog1 lawdog1 mentioned before, this team has potential to go deep but could also go out in the 1st round.

Right. I believe we’ve played some of the fewest “clutch” minutes of any team because we often win by large margins, so the numbers are probably a bit skewed by that.

But this is one of those times the eye-test seems to match the stats. We haven’t finished well on down-to-the-wire games.

Agree with all you just said...but I don't see a 1st round exit in this team. Imo

Man PG needs to stop pussyfooting on his drives. Those slow *** eurosteps lead to contested circus shots or strips. Go strong and get fouls like Kawhi.

He seemed to be getting better about it for a while, but has regressed to previous softness levels. His shooting’s also been way down. He’s slumping and better snap out of it quick.

turnovers and those "clutch minutes" are super concerning and feel like it has in part to do with us usually being able to create a huge lead and being too laxed seeing how we tend to let teams get back into the game farily often

same issue that caused our meltdown last year and hoping that we don't approach the playoffs like that. hopefully having "playoff" rondo changes everything for us

At this point, if Beverly can give 10-15 min of solid defense, hit 2 or 3 open three pointers in that time, I'm happy with him. Mann needs 10-15 min of energy and slashing. Give rondo 12 min in crunch time and 8 min in the first half to get in the flow.

Squeeze in Reggie...

It's just hard, because Reggie has literally earned the right to get big minutes.

Gonna be hard to keep guys fed. We are 10 deep when ibaka comes back

Imo

Think Ty is going to have to manage the rotations by feel somewhat, on a game-to-game basis. There may be occasions when we need Reggie’s offense more than others. Everyone is going to have to stay ready, expect probably PatPat, Otoro and Coffey.

yeah i think with all the options we got with Ty's willingness and ability to make adjustment, rotations will change game by game and the guys will need to always be ready when called up

Maybe the announcers aren't aware that the 4 slot might be better for the clips than the 3...?

I feel like Portland then Utah is a good draw. Imo
