That's crazy, not even 10 games back and Blake reinjures his Quad. Someone ****** up on behalf of the Clippers.
I honestly have to laugh to keep from crying. Just so ridiculous.
As you all know, I've tried to keep my expectations with this team pretty realistic throughout this bizarre *** season, but the last couple weeks of the regular season did increase my optimism a bit. I should have known better.
Now I'm just hoping we put up a fight for the remainder of this series.
I feel for you. On the other hand, I'd rather rest JJ and Blake for the rest of the series. Might as well lose now and let Blake get a jumpstart than risk any further injuries. This had to be a top 3 worst season in Clippers history. For sure in my lifetime. I would take one of our old 18 win seasons over the **** that happened this season. Last night was just the icing on the cake.
Like i've said before, it ain't that we be losing. In years prior, and one could argue even this year, (Even though I would semi disagree) the roster was flawed and wasn't truly going to win a championship. Losing in the playoffs is one thing. Only one team can win per season.
But the way the Clippers lose man, it's like....you've got to be kidding me.
In consecutive years,:
-Blake breaks his ankle at practice in the middle of a 2-2 first round series.
-The next season, in the middle of the playoffs your owner is outed as a racist in a scandal that's still going to this very day. Not to mention your team completely meltsdown and blows game 5 against OKC by collapsing in the last 2 minutes.
-The very next season, Your star PG plays in 88 consecutive games before blowing his hamstring in GAME FREAKING 7. Then, in the next round, the team gets up 3-1, gets up 20 in the 4th quarter of a closeout game in game 6, and completely blows it.
The very next season, in the middle of a 2-1 series, your best player breaks his hand, and your star PF reinjures his quad that had him sidelined for 45 games.
Like...these ****** don't "just lose." They literally find the most catastrophic way year in and year out to blow it.
