Let's just not forget this all started because a guy was butt hurt that another guy didn't tweet about his new album. That's about as un-hip-hop as it gets. Forget a reference track. That's soft as baby ****.
They said Meek was mad when he found out Drake was using someone else's verse on Rico. Meek approached Drake about it. Drake was like whatever and brushed it off. Then he didn't show up for some Meek show he was scheduled to show for. Then Meek got mad and started the whole reference tracks leaking.
As for the guy saying none of us are in the studios and we don't know ****. Reference tracks are 9 times out of 10 written by the ghost writer. It's a rough draft. A huge difference in a reference track and throwing out ideas and hooks.
My brother has written reference tracks for artists today.
