**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

^^ him and bieber but I'm schleep. And u should know rap goes back further then this decade, u smarter than that stop acting like Mr wavez

When I say here today gone tomorrow I mean who later on down the line in 10 years or so is really going to sit back and listen to old Drake songs or albums. The answer to that question is and should be a resounding NOBODY.

That's ridiculous.

Theres kids out there who had Take Care as the backdrop for whatever they went through with their relationships during their formative years. Or NWTS was the backdrop to them having fun in college. You think they're not gonna go back and listen to Take Care at 25, 35 and be flooded with memories?

If any Drake album is the backdrop for your life then that individual has severe issues....particularly if they are a male. We don't need dudes out here crying and simping over woman. We are taking steps backwards with that approach.

:lol Come on bruh, to a lot of these kids Drake is the hottest they've ever heard. Just like I grew up on PE, KRS, LL, Run DMC, Eric B and Rakim, Nas, Jay...to me that's real music, real rap, real MC'ing. To my parents it was trash 'cause they grew up on James, Smokey, the Temps...

Every generation has their soundtrack, it may not appeal to us but its theirs.

From Rico Love breakfast club interview earlier this year Skip to 34:54 (whole interview is dope though)...Dudes see what Drake is doing and I think in the end this will be his downfall, no newer artists will want to work with him

We need more strong male figures out here.......crying over females goes against the grain and everything that has and was built before us. Men can't be head of the household if they are busy kissing the backside of woman out here and being more emotional than them.

I agree, but that's what dad's are for. We can't depend on the music for that. Record companies are gonna push what's hot and what sells...Drake is that right now.

Just be thankful that nowadays kids have the internet and a million other ways to get music mainstream radio doesn't push. In my day it was the radio, the record store, dudes spittin' in the halls, and the cats singing on the corner.

THIS.

How is this so hard to understand for y'all?

Your hatred should not affect your ability to tell the truth.

Some of yall are turning into the same "back in my day" type oldheads we hated growing up.

Not a fan of Aubrey in the slightest, but he's hardly what's "wrong" with rap. I'm far more concerned about the clowns tryna make drug addiction sound cool or the idiots still rapping bout all the weight they never sold.

But half of us listen to all the new artist. We in the fetty thread cuz he makes fun music, party to the migos, ride to future, drip to the sauce twins. So miss me with that back in my day ****, we just see what this dude For what he is. He came out doing duets with trey songz lol. Straight leech but he's the only one to ever straight up blatantly use people, and steal dudes whole swag and get a pass. U got dudes still calling jay out on the young Chris thing but won't call drake out.

True kanye did it to keef, but other artist don't get credit for breaking said artist. Its not like he's just listening to songs on sound cloud and throwing oops to dudes who he think has talent, he literally waits til a song has a crazy following and is about to bubble then uses it for his own gain. Its gonna turn into the Dolph/gotti situation soon where real dudes gonna say no cuz they don't wanna hear dudes say drake made __ hot. Like when I saw Kodak black becoming popular online I swear to god I knew it was coming, like son can't even relate to that type of music but gonna co sign it on the web for props. Wouldn't be surprised if dude popped up with a skrt remix. But IDC what nobody say that cha cha hotline bling **** was a ho *** move, fighting words. If I'm dram its on sight [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji].

Drake stole the idea for the hotline song from someone? Essplain

I was with you until there...how many singing rappers were there before Drake? Give my man credit for making a lane. The only rappers singin' before dude was Biz, and that was on some comedy ish. Now all these cats trying to sing.

Yeah he borrows/steals styles but how different is that from Jay "borrowing" biggie's verses? Was he "biggin' up his brotha" or stealing? Did he "steal" his new flow from Nas after he realized rappin' fast was played out or did he incorporate the style? Hell Migos should be mad at half the rappers rapping if influence is now stealing.

I think people know exactly what Drake is; and he's no different that those that have come before him. Social media has made what was done in the dark public. The difference is; cats used to use it as a come up, or they'd pull a puff and get at homie, or they'd drag that a** into court (The Gaye family and Robin Thicke). Now dudes just cryin' about it. It's almost laughable to me that people were/are claiming Drake's whack a** dancing or claiming he stole hotline bling from Dram when that ninja sampled the beat!

Ja rule was singing.... He gets credit for being the top guy but that's about it from me. His album that fans claim was his best he didn't even write half the material. A lot of people been peeped this **** but fans or people that like the music don't see it or probably just ignore it.

Forgot about Ja...you right.

Biz, Cee Lo, Mos Def, Andre, Ja, Phonte and quite a few more

Speaking of ja hes the perfect example of no one being untouchable. So had a helluva run and couldn't miss. Then when 50 came along everybody turned their backs on him. He low key held his own in those beefs too, but people love the "new guy".

So we've concluded that Drake didn't invent the art of singing/rapping, nor did ANY of the guys his detractors have named which is :lol so their copying as you've displayed is more acceptable than Aubrey's

UTFO?
Whoodini?
Slick Rick?
Bobby Brown?

Y'all just HATE Drake and will stop at nothing to prove/justify your hate.

Listen to ALL that nonsense, then choose to hate on Drake. :{
He helped all of them out, and got dissed for not doin so for the other. (Future did the same after the "Tony Montana"video)

No one EVER considered Ja untouchable from my recollection.
Or Nelly.

Drake's run of dominance is damn near longer than Ja, Nelly & 50s combined. It's individually much longer than any of the 3, by a long shot.

What makes drakes music not so nonsense when they are? Its funny, I named all those guys waiting for someone to call them trash, when your lord and savior Aubrey hopped on all their waves at 1 point. He knew all those guys were catching steam and wanted to be apart of the movement. So I guess he doesn't think that its nonsense or did he make nonsense also sense he made music with them?

I'm not a Drake fan....but the Hate some people have for him is ridiculously strong. Idk why dude is so polarizing :lol. It seems you're either a mindless follower or bitter hater with Drake. There seems to be no rational middle ground.

He has some good songs here, and some wack ones there. Does f-sht from time to time, and is corny. But does some cool stuff as well.

Dude isn't as sinister as y'all think. Nor is he as great as others think. He's an above average rapper that knows how to make hits and cater to today's youth, and relate to the average person. He's really a marketing genius with the game figured out and cheat codes.

So we'll mark today's date and in 6 years we'll see which of those guys are STILL poppin.
Migos is running on fumes already.
