Although I don't wear authentic team basketball shorts myself like many on here, I agree with your style idea that basketball shoes are only appropriate with basketball team shorts. Sandals are awkward with those.

The only kind of basketball shorts I wear if you want to be technical like that are casual things like Nike or Jordan stuff to match with specific shoes I have from those brands.

Does anyone know how much shorter the 2006 Heat jerseys run? Seems like the 2000s Heat, Pistons and Lakers joints run much shorter (front at least) than the regular mesh jerseys. 44 is my size but I’m anxious those pieces will be too short.
