Don't make me feel as if I'm the reason for this run.

In other news: Shrimp sales have SKY ROCKETED through the roof.

Watched the game at the sushi bar tonight...Had shrimp shumai so booyakasha, 9.

So we are going for double digits today, 10 game win streak.

AJ vs Meyers...ugh Brett Meyers...

anyway hopefully Cano stays in the 2 hole today, He did great there.

Phils pitching stinks but they sent down Chan Ho in favor of Happ who is a solid pitcher. Their offense carries em, but any solid lefty keeps them at bay.

Time to see how the Yanks do vs better offensive teams, O's and Twins (@ NY) are pushovers and games they should have won.

Brett Myers stinks, 4-5 runs easy by the 6th for the Yankees.

Phils are going to feast at Coors Field East.

Ejaculate...with excitement, folks!

The Wanger is back and ready torelease his fury out of the bullpen, if needed.

Chien-Ming Wang will be back with the Yankees for Friday night's game against the Phillies.

After Joba Chamberlain's first-inning knee injury drained the bullpen on Thursday night, the Yankees ordered Wang - who was on his way to Pawtucket to pitch Friday night for Triple-A Scranton - to turn around and head back to New York, according to a source.

The Yankees will have Wang in the bullpen Friday night as a long reliever, the source said, though the plans beyond that haven't been determined.

Hopefully he's 100%, there's no need for him to be rushed in there...

seems like girardi exploits your cuzin bringin him in the worst situations possible.....am i the only one that notices?

Yeah he had trouble throwing strikes...otherwise he was pretty good. Better than Veras, for sure.

So the Yankees essentially have a very thin bullpen tonight. This makes me wonder if the Phillies will try to run up his pitch count...

From LoHud:

Anyway, here's the high points from Joe Girardi's availability:

1. The Wang decision (Alabaladejo sent out; Wang activated and put in the pen) was basically a situation where the Yankees' hand was forced by circumstance. They burned through relievers yesterday after Joba got hit; they had no pitchers ready to come up from Scranton who could give them length tonight or tomorrow if they needed it; thus, they went with Wang, even though they were planning to give him one more minor-league start before he faced major league hitters again.

"We thought we had the luxury of sending him down for one more start," Girardi said. "Well, our plans changed."

What happens to Wang next, assuming he isn't needed out of the pen? There's no answer for that yet, either. Phil Hughes threw his regular side session this afternoon and is still on the schedule to start Monday. There is the possibility that Joba would need some extra time so perhaps Wang could start in his place, if necessary, but otherwise it's a mystery as to when Wang will pitch next.

2. Brian Bruney came to Girardi yesterday about 6:15 p.m. and said he felt pain in his elbow. He was sent for an MRI yesterday which came back clean but he's unavailable today and probably tomorrow as well. Girardi admitted he has reasonably high level of concern with Bruney since it was "pain" as opposed to just "soreness" that the reliever was feeling.

3. The Yankees are still planning on Joba being able to take his regular turn. They will watch closely, though, when he throws his side session. "The concern," Girardi said "is if we watch him throw in a couple days and he can't push off" with his right leg.

4. Mariano Rivera pitched 2 1/3 innings the past two days and may - stress may - not be available tonight. Girardi said he would talk to Rivera closer to game time. Phil Coke seems like the fill-in closer if Rivera is out.

So, to recap, here's the Yankees' bullpen situation tonight: Rivera (questionable), Veras (1 2/3 last night), Tomko (available), Aceves (unavailable), Bruney (unavailable), Coke (available), Wang (not really a reliever). I didn't ask him, but I'm assuming Nick Swisher is also available, if needed.

In other words, A.J. Burnett - nine innings would be ideal.

UPDATE, 5:07 p.m.: Also, just in case you were wondering, there was no thought given to using Brett Tomko - a former starter - in the long role because "he's been doing all short stuff" this season, Girardi said, and they don't think they could reasonably expect him to give 50 pitches-plus if it was needed.

Girardi didn't sugarcoat the situation in his press conference. He admitted there's a large amount of ambiguity right now, saying, "You get through this weekend, you see where you're at then you make some more decisions."

Huge setback for the Yankees that Bruney still feels pain in his elbow.

Stadium is %**%%*# gorgeous tonight...too bad I've been at Hard Rock for about an hour and a half waiting for my boy lol.
