So, this colorway is inspired by the snow wasset; a North American mythological creature which happens to be Kawhi's favorite. One interesting detail about the snow wasset is that in the winter it sheds its limbs so that it can slither around like a salamander. So, about that claw on the tongue...

Did some shooting and some basketball drills with my pair. I went a half size down they fit perfect lengthwise but, maybe a little narrow. The upper material is very stiff, the midsole is very similar to the omnis they were stiff too. I had to switch to my broken in Omn1s about an hour in my workout, because the kawh1 was hurting my feet.

Compared to my Omn1s, they feel the same way in the initial break in period but with a more stiff upper. I'm hoping the upper material will break in. It took me about 5 days of pick up ball to get my Omn1s feeling perfect. I think the heel cup on the Omn1s is better. The Kawh1 heel cup is slipping a bit not as locked down and not as comfortable as the Omn1s. The slipping should dissappear once the midsole breaks in. I thought there was going to be a big difference in the cushion but they are very similar I dont notice the heel drop. Grip, it works great outdoor.
I hope yall are healthy and hoping indoor basketball comes back. If these break in im going all in for a grey pair.

I did a mini initial review of my first time out in the Kawhi as well as the follow-up session on IG and the difference in experiences was night and day. First time felt very stiff and the second time the upper was so much better and had more give. The cushion felt so much better too so I'm now very hopeful with the performance aspect of the Kawhi.

Half size up is perfect for me. Everything I complained about is resolved. 25% off is the cherry on top. Now to see what I need for the Omn1s.
