He carried the 2003 team and Parker and Manu were young to the NBA but they were not scrubs. He still had Robinson, Manu, Parker, Steve Smith, Bower, etc. Those are not scrubs or a rebuilding type team.

From 2004 to now he has not been the only constant. Both Manu and Parker became great players since then. Parker is in his prime and has been carrying the spurs the past few years. Do not forget that Robinson was still very good in 99.

I am not talking about ego or anything. I mean that Duncan is still very good but he has been M.I.A. since the 2007 finals. He lost to the choking mavs in 2006 and the dysfunctional lakers in 2004. He had Manu and Parker in their prime all those years. Parker is still in his prime now.

I hate on Lebron but give dude paker and Manu for 11 seasons and he is gonna make the finals more than 3 times.

So timmy is 4-4 and now he should have made more? Bron had a better team and still lost.

Your an SA fan, not many of us, so I don't hate on that.

Yup, I love all you guys man,
They allowed a Piston vs Spurs Finals. Try again.
Only real NBA fans enjoyed that series

I loved that series. The Robert Horry dunk

. The only Finals in recent history that I didnt really "enjoy" was Spurs Vs Cavs. I use enjoy loosely because we won and I was happy for that, but it was such an obvious mistmatch in terms of talent. That series was very forgettable

Everyone just wants to find reasons to hate now. Its the way the NBA has gone, if you dont win every year "You should have done more". We can sit here and do the same thing to Kobe, hes had huge downslopes and choked away two NBA Finals series but what would we the point. You cant win everytime, thats life.

^ at full speed it looks so blatant. It was no reason for him to jump at all. It's kinda like when he kicked Ramon Sessions in the nuts. I think he got a game for that this would be his second offense this season. Plus didn't Ron got multiple games for his elbow last year.

I Know This Is Completely Unrelated But I Seen It This Morning And Was Like Wow, This Is Just The Worse, Though Bron Is Still My Dude

so as big as this thread is on criticizing flopping

ya'll are going to ignore how Lance acted like he got shot in the head?

..if you're going to be critical, at least be real

it was posted on NT back then...The fact that you dont remember seeing this game, i'm just going to assume he became your dude when he went to south beach

I dont get this flop talk. Wade was going pretty damn fast and he jumped, if his elbow even touched Lance's head - it's going to hurt, especially since no one is expecting a damn Macho Man flying elbow in the middle of a game. It's an elbow not something soft like a hand, there's no such thing as a light elbow to the head at full speed.

If duncan gets another ring there are going to be a lot more people ranking him ahead of kobe, especially if he gets the finals mvp too.

I See You Guys Are Gunna Bee ********....

And Of Course Every Miami Heat Fan Is A BandWagoner, I Couldn't Have Missed Something As Simple As Him Changing His Warm-Ups Without Not Being A Fan

Bravo Sir

why wouldnt he be already...he is more consistent, the best at his position...Hell he was the best at his position pretty much all of his career. Same cant be said about kobe...sure if you throw in commercialization/controversy/mass appeal...and other off court attributes no question he should be ahead of duncan. But from a strictly on court assessment, Duncan is ahead...hell even shaq is ahead. Some may say no...but did he not dominant at his position for most of his career? Wasnt he arguable the best center of the league for a strong decade? Wasnt he the key/primary reason for 3 championships? Was he not clear cut the best at his position...(some may say yao, but lets be honest thats just racially bias, and the fact he was a rare find)

This cannot be said about kobe, at one point you couldve made an argument about tmac and ai...or at the very least a close second. Sure you had your rasheed, kg, and cwebb...but duncan time and time again proved he was head and shoulders above the rest.

^ how long has kobe been the best at his position? Hell he's still the best SG today! Despite not even being in his prime!

Duncan is PF/C right? Dirk, Pau and KG took some years from him as best PF. And Shaq and Dwight did the same at center.

and people laughed when I said the Spurs would go to the Finals.

They should've won it last year and would've beaten Miami, they were tougher than Boston but they just blew it.

They should be able to win it all this season, they need to close it out game 4 and get some extra rest.

Although I agree with last season, they are still really old and beat up, I'm not sure they can beat Miami in 7 this year.

If Miami even beats Indiana to begin with, but the Spurs play a complete team game and play well defensively. People keep saying the Spurs are old but they get the job done and they are better/more experienced than Indiana (they won't turn the ball over 15+ times)

Miami's role players are all old too and Wade hasn't exactly played up to par. I don't view Miami as invincible at all.

LMAO, you guys act like the Heat are up 3-0 against the pacers. Everything the pacers are doing to bother the Heat, the Spurs would do it better. If the Heat continue to struggle with the Pacers size, wait until they have to deal with size and a good point guard.

Kobe is one of my favorite players of all time and i wouldnt have a problem win that in my eyes they are both top ten players of all time

^ honestly tho, the spurs are the better match up for the heat

They have the bigs, coaching, and most importantly they have someone who wont make it too easy for lebron
