He finished number 9 is the NBA MVP voting in 2001 after that he's been top 5 in the NBA MVP voting ever since then.
If you're being a fair, that's a pretty good barometer of who the top 5 players in the league are

Wow. Check Bird's stats.....LeBron-like. And he did it without the world-class athleticism that Bron has. He also played against some of the all-time great teams in maybe the toughest era in NBA history. And dominated against the best competition in the biggest games. He could do it all.
Didnt need to. You act like Bird was a ******. He is a long 6'9 who can shoot from anywhere. Also check out the type of defenders that Bird played against. Not trying to discredit but back in the day the foot work and lateral movement of the players were pretty bad. You don't need much athleticism to shine back in the day. Just look at old footage of Celtics vs team like Phillys etc. The game back then was slow.

I never said he wasn't good. He also had Maxwell, McHale and Parish who no one ever seems to talk about. He was a white boy with a jumper. He was almost as athletic as the black stars which in people's eyes made him even better then he was.

ESPN is just as annoying because i get an update everyday saying Phil said this, Phil said that. Its ridiculous, who even cares? most of us here dont, its in the past. Only time ill give a crap what Phil is saying/doing is if hes coaching til then shut up and go ride a horse in montana or something.

- More pick and roll with Bosh. They started basically running a "Weave" play around the perimeter in the second half and it was pretty successful.
- Bosh has to step up on the boards.
- MAKE FREE THROWS
- Keep dominating the boards
- Don't commit too many turnovers
- Keep operating through the bigs. The in-and-out game we play is unstoppable when executed properly.

Me neither, as a fan of the game I always loved Timmy D. Sometimes i have kobe in front of him & other times i have him ranked ahead. Its hard for me when it comes to ranking those 2, but yea both are top 10 all time at the end of the day.
