Stupid.

Its more than likely going to be Wes JOhnson (expiring), Brown, Dudley and their 1st for Rudy. If that 1st can turn into Archie Goodwin or something, fine.

But, if you was going to trade Rudy Gay, you either do it this past offseason or next offseason. Memphis went into this season with the mindset of contending with a healthy team. We've never been to the playoffs with a healthy core and this was suppose to be the year. If you want to get under the tax, then move one of your weaker players (Speights).

Its supposedly a 3 team deal involving Boston. Phoenix would probably move Gortat to Boston. Maybe we get something else in the deal.

I just didn't agree with getting rid of one of your best players and the team is 22-10, competing for a 1st seed in the West. Rudy isn't what you called efficient or a "great" player, but he's the only person on the team that can make big shots, get his up over anyone in the league and make tough shots. He has many flaws, but I think you need him when its all said and done. I wish there was a way we could get Pierce, but its probably not happening.

BTW, Dudley would fit perfectly in Memphis. His style of play fits what Memphis is all about. He can shoot the ball and plays his role really well. Whether that can get us past OKC, LAC and SAS is another story, though. Maybe they don't care if we get past them :lol

I swear to you, if we take back Beasley in this deal, every reason for doing this deal goes out the window

Someone on the Nets is under investigation for an alleged sexual assault last night at the Four Seasons.

Over/Under on that player being Andray Blatche?

No-brainer on that one.

We’re all still digesting this whole Dwight Howard to LA thing.  Obviously, on paper, it looks like a pretty good move for them.  But you never know sometimes when you mix different personalities.  Greatly talented players can sometimes clash to a point where it affects them on the court.

And that might be the biggest concern for LA in this trade.  One of the most intense players the game has ever seen… Kobe Bryant… and one of the game’s biggest kids… Dwight Howard… sharing the court, the ball, and the pursuit of a title.

To illustrate how much of a child Dwight can be, Adrian Wojnarowski used a hilarious example from Kevin Garnett.
The vision is this: A serious-minded star for a serious-minded basketball franchise. Stan Van Gundy tried so, so hard to instill that within Howard, but the culture of Orlando always made the Magic beholden to Howard. No more. Howard is bigger than life, but he isn’t bigger than the Lakers.

So, yes, Bryant searched out Howard’s cell phone on Friday morning and made the call to Howard that the two superstars had resisted for months now. When the time comes, rest assured, Bryant will make something clear: The carnival act ends now. The clowning and goofing are done. During games, players used to hear Kevin Garnett screaming at Howard: “Paint your face, clown!” up and down the floor.
Used to talk all kinds of **** to LeBron too. Know what LeBron did? Gave him 45 in the Garden.

You're missing the point so badly though. It's the NBA. 99% of these guys aren't trying to fight. It's all about getting an edge, and if you get pissed enough at KG to want to fight him on the team bus, KG already won.

@russbengtson: It's a good thing NBA players weren't so thin-skinned in the '90s or else Gary Payton wouldn't have survived his rookie year.

Any human being thats sane would back peddle in that situation. Unless you want to get trampled and stomped on sure throw a punch and dont move when you're surrounded by 30 people.
If anything would have happened it would have happened on the court. But thats like a 5 game suspension. Nothing has EVER happened after the game ended.
In all honesty, the only people that are about that life in the NBA are Artest and Stephen Jackson.

*christian bale gif*

If you're so concerned for your own safety, you wouldn't try and punch someone in the face when they're surrounded by 20 people.

I swear, some of y'all...

So KG dominated Carmelo on the floor, then made him look like an idiot off of it? Good **** :hat

KG will go down as an all time great while Melo will be remembered as an underachiever who never won a ring :lol

Word to ZBo, Stackhouse, and Chris Mills flashing a burner.

Virginia Beach has given up on the clown *** Maloofs.

Sacramento spent a reported $680,000 on their arena effort that the Maloofs killed. Reports from August claimed that Virginia Beach had already spent $700,000 at that time on their arena effort, and a recent article states that the total that the city has been authorized to spend on arena consultants is $1.16 million... dudes are wasting tax payer money. Can't wait for the NBA to seize control

You still showing your face around here?

What happened to Boston being "the best team in the NBA" this season?

So the sole reason why Grizz giving up RG is because of the luxary tax? Are they playoff bound pass the first round without him? I doubt it.

Melo a sucker...if he wanted to catch kg at the team bus he should've kept his ******g mouth quiet instead of doing all that yelling and screaming at the Boston locker room...should've kept quiet and popped up outside like previous nba players have done...melo an actor
You know bad boys move in silence...

Man, I love hearing these stories of altercations after games.

Throw Oakley and Jordan in there too?

How wall get outta shape like that...wizards a franchise full of idiots

If you ain't doing cardio/lower-body exercises - u gonna end up w/ a Blatche physique. He's been pretty much inactive since his injury was diagnosed.

Throw Oakley and Jordan in there too?

Oak would get at people in pregame...hitting them w. snack trays and **** :lol If u were on his list, he wasted NO time getting at u. Sup, Jeff McInnis & Tyrone Hill.

Well no one realy knows. The rumor was that some people in the front office felt like Memphis was the Hawks of the West, meaning we are not contenders. Then, guys like Chris Vernon are saying those rumors are false. The Grizz do want to get under the tax, but they want to do so AND improve their chances of contending.

Either way, you don't trade your 3rd best player midseason when you're a few games out of 1st place in the West, when you could just cut tax by moving a lesser player THEN moving Rudy in the offseason if things don't go right.

I think the Grizz front office want to make this team a much better 3 point shooting team around ZBO and Marc. One of the key reasons we couldn't get by LAC last year and OKC the year before was because our outside shooting sucked. We had two bigs that could get it done, but no consistency from the outside. Rudy doesn't help that, even though he can do other things. So, if they end up with more shooters in this deal, it may work out.
