i would've had dwight/bron over him. rose wasn't better than them individually as a player nor advanced stats wise (WS/RPM/VORP). all good tho, cause i think that year bron ****ed him in the playoffs.How can the best player on a 62 WIN TEAM be the worst MVP ever
other people had valid cases but he surely deserved it.
i ain't say he didn't deserve it (best player on team with best record, i get it), i just think he's the worst one to win it. player-quality wise, he's below all the other recent MVPs and maybe in history. had a special season. but defense was the main reason for their 62 win season, and we all know his defense was and still is trash.
i agree with everything @100027 said. i guess you can look at it two ways though. worst MVP as in worst player or worst MVP as in least deserving. i think rose is probably a lock in the first category, though i'd have to check the full list of MVPs. less so the second category.

Or that your claiming Lebron deserved the MVP despite Nash carried his team to an elite offense, put up elite numbers on elite shooting percentages & way lower usage? Yet these are the same metrics people use to say Harden deseved it more than Westbrook last year?

First of all I'm in favor of using TS. Second of of all you need to figure out what his TS in relation to the league averages at the time.
No way you can compare an eras when Pringles suns would've been near the bottom in pace.
Westbrook beat out harden for MVP due to 1.9 rebounds. In which Westbrook clearly was stat padding to achieve a triple double.
Harden had him beat on efficiency and record. But was marginally behind in counting stats.
Nash had Lebron beat in efficiency and winning record but Lebron's counting stats were much bigger.
