Kevin Harlan was sorely needed to liven up that broadcast.

Having to hear reggie's commentary plus brents's dry play by play delivery was just awful :smh:

Harlan wouldve killed it.

And shouldve added breen strictly for the 3 pt to say bang after every shot lmao. Wouldve been like pops from the wayans brothers :lol

Several years down the line maybe not.

But he will absolutely shoot you out of playoff series in the near future if cut his post-ups and have him space the floor.

A good coach will stop guarding him out there after the 1st quarter of game 1.

Not so much of an issue with the current make-up, but I was speaking strictly from the hypothetical of adding another high usage player to that team, like LeBron

Like shoeking said, as long as he’s a threat he provides value. He’s great everywhere on the floor and with him being a low volume guy, I don’t see it as a problem. I don’t think you can get away with leaving him open after the first quarter, speaking in terms of this season

I don't know about leaving him completely open but I'm surely not aggressively closing out on a 30% Shooter, & Embiid has the second highest usage rate of anybody in the League not Named James Harden. He would be a terrible fit next to Lebron, assuming Lebron refuses to change his game to fit his teammates strengths... which hasn't happened yet.

There’s no “threat” against a good coach, tho.

A good defensive is not gonna bother guarding him out there pretty quickly. The “threat” disappears.

no franchise has shown less will towards winning than the 76'ers this decade, why would Lebron wanna go there.

That's not even taking into account the horrible fit

First of all, three years if tanking does not equal a decade. In fact Minny and Sacramento both have worse records over this decade. The sixers made it to the second round a couple of times while those two franchises never even sniffed playoffs.

Second, the whole idea behind the process is to win championships. They are not tanking because they don't have a willingness to win, it's the exact opposite and this franchise was willing to do what it takes to get there. A sacrifice most franchises will not take because they are content with just being competitive enough.

This is not the 2015 sixers filled with d league players. This is a core group of guys who are very competitive and will do what it takes to win.

So why would LeBron think of coming here? Because the talent is there and so is the cap flexibility along with the right culture.

That being said, I'm not too excited about the idea of LeBron coming. Id rather they continue to build on what they have.

It's LBJ. Ben Simmons. Joel Embiid. No such thing as a horrible fit with this level of talent honestly.

And in theory, no you shouldn't close out hard on a 30% 3pt shooter but that goes out the window over the course of a game. Bigs who are guarding Joel at the 3 will see him semi open and close out on him because the association and belief is that he's open and can make that, despite what the numbers say. (In the playoffs though when teams can prepare that can potentially be an issue.)

Those matchups would be lit. With the new format we'd have 1 to 2 boring matchups tops. Not like the current format where every year there're a handful of matchups that no one wants to watch.

Bro I understand your a Sixers fan & want to defend your team, but the comment was made in reference of Lebron Joining the team. Your team has actively been doing everything in their power to lose for the past 5-6 years, According to some of the fans on this board some of the players "aren't really injured" management is just cautious so they are "redshirting" productive players. None of the players drafted know what a winning culture is. You just don't flip the script from tanking for years & become a winning culture.

Knowing what we Know about Lebron & his extreme impatience, what makes you think that coming to a team with no playoff experience, And two best players (despite having talent) are high usage ball dominant guys is high on his list? This is a guy who is entering the last stretch of his career & has made it CLEAR as day that he prefers his teams to be custom built for him with an easy path ahead. I don't see that happening with the Sixers.

Warriors beat the Cavs that first year in part because Lue decided to ignore Iguodala outside of the paint, and he made shots.

He took over 5 threes per game in the series, at 40%.

They got beat next year because both he and Barnes missed those exact same, wide open shots.

The phenomenon that you’re describing is not taking place against a good team in the playoffs.

The point of Bron going there would be to win, it would be very difficult doing that when adding Bron negates the best qualities of the other two players games. even if Embiid was league average from three every team would much rather him taking that shot or trying to create off the dribble rather then going into the post & doing work.

You add Bron to this team & i still think the Celtics with GH would handle them pretty easily.

Like I said, if Lebron wants to leave Cleveland to win, going anywhere but the Rockets would be really really dumb.

From 3 point distance the percentages say otherwise

Well imo that’s a shot selection issue not an ability issue. But I don’t see how he has an overall “questionable” jumper. That poster put him in the same breathe as Simmons. Again, Embiid has a good jumper for a C. That percentage will absolutely rise with LeBron on the team. And just a reminder... he’s a center.
