I just read that the Pistons are interviewing Jason Kidd for their vacant head coaching position.
I'm looking for any angle where this makes sense, despite the fact that Kidd is an above average coach.

He’s gonna be a lot better than people give him credit for after a disappointing rookie year. I literally had the kid under a microscope throughout the season. All the tools to be a very very good player are there, just needs to put them together. He’s still younger than about 80% of the lotto picks this year.
