Woj said the Rockets are gunna try and work a Trade with OKC for PG.

What deal with the Rockets would even make sense? Obviously Eric Gordon, but what else? PJ Tucker and some first rounders? I mean I guess in their case it’s better than losing him for nothing since they’re in win-now mode with Westbrook.

Sixers gonna bury the firing of Colangelo before tomorrow's game lol.

Probably. Adam Silver seemed all pissed about it taking place during the Finals in his press conference before Game 1. He’s probably giving them a specific time that they’re able to drop the news so it can fly under the radar and not make his people that made us hire the Colangelos look dumb.

Only problem with a sign and trade is the team that were to get player x would be hard capped. I think the number is $129M.

Of course they would be able to. Now would they want to? I believe so.

It would have to renounce Randall's rights in order to have enough cap space to sign LeBron and Paul George to max deals. The only way they could keep Randall was if they could somehow unload Luol deng's contract.

Thibbs literally made Deng seem old af

Deng was 32 during the season. I legit didn't' eem know that, figured he was approaching 35

Saddest thing I've read all year:

He travels with the team, but doesn’t sit on the sidelines with his teammates. Instead, he plays make believe in a training room by himself, as detailed by this gut wrenching account by Bill Paschke of the Los Angeles Times.

Deng watches the game on television and imitates its flow. When there’s action, he runs on a treadmill. When there’s a timeout, he stops. When the whistle blows, he runs again. When the Lakers are playing defense, he slides his feet as if playing imaginary defense.

In honoring an All-Star career that once featured 11 consecutive seasons of 30-plus minutes a game, he stays active in his make-believe game for about 35 minutes, at which point the real game is usually ending.

Hmmm. Mychal T said Klay won't sign an extension this summer. Me likey.
It's not about leaving. It's simply about money. He's previously said he's willing to take a paycut.
But I doubt he meant the kind he'd take if he signed an extension. Damn near 100 mil is a lot of money.
Expect it to be more like 5-10 if he does take one when he resigns with them in '19.
Probably will, since KD sounding like he gonna opt out to get paid this offseason.

One thing it's always amazed me about basketball is that there are guys who been in the league for 3 or 4 years and you're just now starting to lift weights and take care of their body.

I played High School football and before I ever played it down, I'd been in the gym for the entire summer lifting weights. It's incredible to me that these guys are playing basketball the highest level and don't lift weights at all until they've been in the league for years. Football is militant about strength training whereas basketball is pretty passive about it.

I realize that basketball players aren't as big as football players but everyone knows that you can gain strength without gaining tons of weight and added strength helps your game and helps you recover faster.

Like Julius Randle, it's awesome that he finally started eating right and taking care of his body and the improvements in his game showed it. But part of me is like "why'd it take you four years to figure this out?"
What teams/players you have in mind when writing this? Just curious.

Reports are that if Lebron leaves the Cavs, Dan Gilbert will no longer be willing to pay the luxury tax (which makes sense). With that said, what's the trade value of their assets?

What's a good package for Kevin Love? a mid lottery pick?

Honestly, other than Love their assets are pretty bad and they have 3 or 4 bad contracts (Hill, Thompson and Clarkson come to mind)

Love has value but can't think of a good landing spot for him.

Julius Randle as I mentioned. There are reports that Zo is "finally taking the weight room seriously". Honestly, i was just thinking of some of the Lakers players but i hear stories every offseason players who wait 3-4 years into their careers before they start taking care of themselves.
