Players around the league love Brett Brown, Monty Williams and Embiid...having them as the main speakers for LeBron, PG, etc instead of somebody like Colangelo controlling it could actually be a plus. And LeBron might like it even more that he could have input on the next GM.
as a sixer fan, do you think ben simmons should be worried about anything after colangelo's departure and the potential full court press of lebron in a few weeks?
colangelo seemed to be his biggest fan and was out there saying its his team...

Hell nah. Brett coached Ben’s dad in Australia and has known him since birth. He’s probably a bigger fan than Colangelo.

Not that I really care, but I feel like the Knicks are a huge darkhorse, especially with this new front office/coach combo we have.

Don't think anyone wants to go there. They don't have any cap space or tradable assets. Team wouldn't even be as good as the current Cavs.

With Kristaps expected to miss time?

I think so. KP wont miss the entire year (will be back by January), he shouldn't rush it, but his recovery from the looks of it is actually pretty amazing, even for a 22 year old (young bodies usually recover much faster anyway). He can coast till then, no need to play 40 min in December.

We'd have to find trade a partner for Lee (pretty easy since we wont really care what we get back) and Kanter would have to opt out, which I think isnt out of the question. I just know that before going to Miami, he publicly said that that morning he chose the Knicks. And with this whole new regime, the new front office, his relationship with Fiz, and maybe playing in NYC at the tail end of his career, I dont think its out of the question.

He'd be better off taking his chances in New Orleans with Cousins coming back from injury

I want the Knicks to be good so this isn’t me trying to throw shade on them but that ain’t happening. Your roster is not good, your best player might be out for the whole year, you don’t have enough cap space to add anybody else besides LeBron even if you did clear enough for him and the Knicks have no tradable assets besides Kristaps to even bring in anything significant to help LeBron.

The Knicks could be in decent shape in a few years if they work the draft well this year though.

Bryan Colangelo "resigned"

Bryan cares too much about reputation, this was probably one of his terms if he were to leave. If he indeed resigned, then he just let go of his severance pay which would have been a few mil, just for s petty attempt to save face.

Tbh I think our roster healthy is better than w.e Lebron is working with now.

Trade Lee, hope Kanter opts out, hell even Lance Thomas is tradable. Keep everyone else, keep your pick, you have enough for Lebron.

Plus its almost a guarantee Kyrie is signing here in 2019, when we actually do have money.

Business decision.

He essentially resigned without admitting fault. If the Sixers fired him, they woulda shredded him to pieces which would basically ensure he’d never work in the nba again
