Can someone please explain to me how the Rockets are even a contender for Lebron salary cap wise? They have $80m on the books before they even look at Chris Paul or Capella's extensions. Are we assuming that they gut the roster and its Lebron, CP3, Harden and a bunch of vet minimums?

Can't wait until the Rockets max Doughboy and he ends up playing 51 games in the regular season and his body breaks down like the tin man in the playoffs as scheduled.

bron staying. quote me.

Why? There's no way that team improves, they're just gonna run it back with Trae Young or Bridges next year lol.

If Lebron just comes to the realization that he's not winning anymore rings and wants to embrace the Cleveland hero role and break records then so be it

Via opt in and trade is the only way. I feel like I need to sticky some stuff in the 1st post about Lebron's options.

I know the Rockets don't want to damage their relationship with Chris and they might've had a wink-wink deal negotiated about his extension but if I were the Rockets, I'd make CP3 go play the field for a bit. Everyone knows that he's 33 and injury prone. I don't think there's a single team in the league that would offer him the max, why is it assumed the Rockets will?

Meh. We pretty much washed the Bulls when Jordan was playing (he did come back at the end of the 2nd year though) and Jordan has gone on record saying he didn't wanna face Hakeem anyways or something like that. And acknowledges him as the other GOAT.

:pimp:

Crazy to think that back in 84 Houston turned down a trade with Portland involving the #2 pick.

Imagine they accept the trade and then take Hakeem 1, Jordan 2?

Yikes.

Hakeem would’ve eventually smacked up Jordan in the locker room so bad he would’ve been concerned with black issues sooner
