Nice tidbits about the new Shoe Creator feature  in 2k13 for customization junkies like me from the IGN preview;
Visual Concepts spent perhaps the most amount of time during my demo showing me their craziest feature yet: the Shoe Creator. Yes, they've had a basic version of this before, but the ends of the earth they've gone to on this smack of a studio that clearly has no competition to worry about and is free to pursue flights of fancy like this (again, I mean that in a nice way!). 2K13's Shoe Creator is, essentially, the virtual shoe equivalent of Forza Motorsport 4's livery system. Except in that game, you can't click a button when you're done and order the car you just designed, complete with that custom paint job.

Yes, you can build your own kicks using different materials, colors, patterns, and more. Dozens of layers (45 of them, to be exact) let you highlight every detail you like. You can then upload those to the web, where other users can rate them. Want to go a step farther? Get this: the game syncs with the NikeID website and you can actually have your virtual shoe made real and shipped to your door. Perhaps Visual Concepts will let us try out that particular feature next time...

Did anybody else notice at about 7:10 Chris Bosh is wearing a armband on both arms.. then once the buzzer sounds, the one on his right arm disappears?

2k is still crapping out...

But regardless, I'm excited for the release

Its myTeam, 2k's version of Ultimate Team made popular by FIFA and Madden

The vid didn't impressed me at all .. new animations just like every other year, liked the bounce pass tho ..

I love that your teammates are more active on offense while you have the ball.

Dudes on 2k12 would literally be like the Cavs during the Bron era.

so they give us the ability to make shoes? cool.

but the real question is...why do they have the dream team in generic garbage.

and..

did they fix the color blocking on the jordans....can i make real space jams and altitude xiii's?

So does this mean you can create your own actual shoe from scratch? Like your own materials/silhouette (using the options given)/etc. or does it just mean that you can order your own colorway.

They make it seem like the first, but knowing how naive non-sneaker people are to sneaker stories (See Lebron X fiasco) makes me think that the writer doesn't know about Nike ID and it's just the latter.

More info plz?

^ My guess is that you're going to have to use a particular shoe like a Hyperdunk or Kobes or LeBrons as a base, and then customize it to your liking.
