Learn all about NBA 2K15's MyPARK
MyPARK

In NBA 2K14 The Park was first unveiled.   It was the first iteration of a revolutionary mode unseen in any sports game, bringing MyPLAYERs together to play casual games of street ball.  This year, the world is getting bigger and the stakes higher. The Old Town Flyers, Sunset Beach Ballers and Rivet City Rough Riders are recruiting true competitors to represent their community in NBA 2K15’s MyPARK mode. Each affiliation has its own 8-court home park and unique flavor of basketball emphasized by slight boosts to various aspects of your game. Pledge your loyalty to one and start making a name for yourself.

The Parks

The Old Town Flyers are all about looking good on the court. They like the flashy passes and Size-Ups. They’re also tight defenders that may lead to quite a few fast breaks capped off with an alley dunk.

The Sunset Beach Ballers are all about scoring. From layups to midrange jumpers to long threes, these players cannot be left open for 1 second.

The Rivet City Rough Riders are the physical type. What they don’t swat out of the air will end up being rebounded. And on the offensive side of the ball, stay clear unless you’re fond of being posterized by a slam so hard it’ll shake the screen.

With that said, can you be a shooter in Rivet City or a big in Sunset Beach? Most definitely! The boosts you receive are meant only to be complimentary to areas you may be focused on. They will not make you dominant in any discipline.

MyPARK Rep

Now that you’ve selected your home park, get out there and win! As you do, you will earn a reputation for yourself.  MyPARK Rep is an earned-only feature which takes into account not only wins, but your teammate grade and opponents. There are 4 major Rep levels with 3 sub-levels earned in each. You start out with as a Rookie 1 and can rise through the Pro and All-Star ranks up to the top-tiered Legend 3 Rep level.

As you rep increases, you will unlock various MyPARK-specific abilities, animations and clothing. If you’re thinking of traveling to one of your Rivals’ parks, you’ll need to be at least a Pro 3. When you do travel, your VC is doubled for defeating Rival parks.  If you cannot travel or simply choose not to, defending your home park against Rivals will earn you a significant Rep bonus.

You can also lose Rep with a poor teammate grade, quitting games or even losing on a Rival park’s court.

The MyPARK Championship

From October 11th through to the weekend preceding the NBA All-Star game, the MyPARK Championship will pit all 3 affiliations against one another in weekly rounds of competition. All travel restrictions are lifted during the events. After each round, the winning park’s participants will be awarded prizes such as VC, Rep bonuses and exclusive accessories with attribute boosts. The 1st place park will earn 2 points for the round and 2nd place 1 point. These points count towards the MyPARK Championship where the park leading at the end will win a newly designed park to call home!

Jordan Rec Center

Now street ball isn’t for everyone. There are those of us that prefer the sound of the ball bouncing on a hardwood court floor, the rush of a 4th quarter comeback, referees and rules... we’ve got you covered. The Jordan Rec Center features four full-sized courts featuring 5-minute quarters of 5v5, NBA rules basketball. Games played here count towards your MyPARK Rep and towards the MyPARK Championship.

Squads

That sounds great and all, but you just want to play with your friends and that wasn’t easy to do last year. Whether you prefer playing on hardwood or the blacktop, we have made playing with friends on the same team simple with our new Squads feature. No more racing to call Got Next before a random player ruins things for you. Form a Squad with anyone currently in your park by viewing the list of players and sending them an invite. Once you have your team together use any designated Squad area located on each court. When that game is over you will all step onto the court together as a Squad to start your run.

Additional Features
 • With the new Attribute Upgrades feature, you will no longer see a park full of 99s that are impossible to guard. Players must make choices how to upgrade their MyPLAYER becoming specialists in certain disciplines.
 • MyPARK games have been shortened to 15 points. This along with the added 8th court will shorten up Got Next wait times.
 • We’ve added an always-on game score overlay! No more running to a spot on the court or changing camera angles to find out the current score.
 • We’ve added the teammate grade meter so you know how well you’re playing at a glance without having to bring up the game menu.
 • The MyNBA2K15 mobile app makes it easy to send texts to your squad or anyone in your park. Just type on the app and the text pops up on their screen.
 • Matchups are now based on height with weighting for position rather than simple join order.
The Stage

The familiar park layout of 2K14 makes its return on the rooftop of a building located in the heart of the city. This is a neutral site where the love for your park is set aside for your love of VC. It’s time to put your VC where your mouth is. Step up to one of the courts and Ante-Up the amount of VC displayed. Win and you split the pot with your team. Lose and you’ll be walking off the court with lighter pockets. Squads are supported here as well.

For those of you that enjoy high-stakes gaming, we have the High Rollers area with Ante amounts up to 30,000VC or higher for a single game!

The Stage is available on PS4 day 1 and will be available on all platforms starting November 8th.

Like he got ported into the game straight from the PS2.

Just a heads up, several people are streaming on twitch. Nobody can play mypark since the servers are supposedly down until release.

Didn't know there's no tax for digital downloads. More of an incentive to go this route for the first time. Gotta install the game anyways and last year it took forever for some reason. Need a head start with pre-loading.

Went ahead and ordered my digital.  The Gamestop by me is always getting robbed and sketchy as hell, i'd rather not get stabbed trying pick up 2k that night

installed and waiting to go that midnight.

I don't mind doing the digital because I don't intend to trade it in.  I do regret doing digital for that trash Watch Dogs though

This is a review from the stream i watched earlier on MyLeague, this is just my opinions and impressions and a look at some smaller issues from what I witnessed, the review is focused on one year in the mode of MyLeague.

From the stream I watched, the first thing I noticed was the how clean the menus look this year, actually really impressed with how easy and smooth it looked to navigate through the menus and the modern art-style they have gone with 50x better than NBA2k14. From the stream I was watching there seemed to be a lot of sliders and options in regards to things like blockbuster trades and injuries, for the stream I watched they were all left at 50 which is what my impression is based on.

Diving into MyLeague i got too see some of the draft prospects, which looked 10x better than previous draft classes and CAP features i have seen from previous 2k's, The player models looked like ballers not aliens, and the new Scouting system looks interesting, also seeing different Mock Drafts was really cool and gave a reason to actually scout a players stats, I.Q, tendencies etc and make an informed choice for the franchise. I felt that the Draft Classes were a little overpowered still, with the number 1 pick being ranked at 82 overall, (therefore the following season there were 14+ players with a 90 overall or higher and the league once again became stacked with Superstars).

I didn't see one draft prospect wearing a headband, and with the missing edit function too add or remove headbands means that after a certain period players wearing headbands will become extinct throughout your MyLeague, bit of an odd oversight, Game-breaking No...Disappointing Yes!.
The added feature of being able to change Home/Away accessories is a nice touch and should please Roster makers, but small nuances stop it from becoming a brilliant feature like the headband issue and not being able to change sock colour.

I got to see some player models, and went into the edit feature with Paul George, it was cool to set his injury to however long desirable, and the player model looked fantastic!, also went into tried to edit Rajon Rondo to be 350 pounds which did absolutely nothing to his player model, then brought the weight down to 145 pounds which also did nothing to his player model, Rondo didn't become larger or skinnier and that seems to be something not functioning properly at this point of time.

Quickly simulating through the season to the All-Star break to have a look at how the season was progressing around the February time, the standings looked really impressive, OKC were having a solid season and the W-L ratio looked on-point for that period of time, a quick look at sim stats from memory had Kevin Durant leading the league in scoring on 28ppg, i don't remember all the players stats but they looked much more realistic for a quick sim with default rosters as far as Rebounds, Blocks, and assists were concerned.

With trade deadline around the corner, the transaction report wasn't as scary as previous games, but wasn't impressive either. A pic can be found here of the report - NBA 2k15 Impressions Thread
I didn't like the Toronto trade because Phoenix stays stacked at the PG (and went on to draft another PG ) and Toronto were having a great season sitting 3rd in the East and i don't see the logic in the Amir Johnson for Danny Granger trade. The Charlotte/Chicago trade is very very questionable aswell...no real improvement in logic, but there are sliders that hopefully can improve this aspect!.

As the season went on, from memory OKC finished with a great record of 69-13 and I think the Spurs were 55-27 but the Cavs finished around 61 or 62 wins also, Durant won MVP, Jabari Parker for ROY, Reggie Jackson for 6th man, and Scott Brooks for Coach of the year...I can't remember Defensive player or Most Improved (possibly Norris Cole) but they were deserved winners...

A sim through the playoffs seen Charlotte upset Chicago in the Semi's to face Toronto in the East finals, (Toronto had to get over New York in the first round and then Indiana to face Charlotte in the East finals), and in the western conference OKC vs Spurs played off with the Thunder getting over San Antonio....OKC defeated Hornets in the finals 4-1 , KD was playoff MVP, Steve Nash and Ray Allen retired and made the Hall of fame!

The off-season was in the same structure of previous 2k's nothing really new here, just a nicer menu to navigate through, and some tweets about who might be going where...was hard to get a good gauge on the draft logic because i couldn't see every teams Roster needs but the draft day presentation was the same and looked very stale and boring, The player name data base doesn't look to be updated either, So expect to see a few Helmut Hasselhoffs again.

The Free Agency period was exactly the same, 13 days to improve your Roster, from what I can remember Rondo signed with Orlando Magic, KG with the Bucks, the Lakers were stacked at Centre with Marc Gasol at 14 mil for 4 years and then signed Vucevic for 8 million *approximate figures* ??....Kobe would not be happy

So, in conclusion, I'm still super exited to dig into MyLeague and tweak the sliders when I get my copy to try and get some results closer to my preference, and although I'm a little disappointed to see some issues make it over to next-gen I'm glad 2k at least give us the option this year to edit to our liking with a onslaught of sliders at our disposal which should hopefully clear up some of the odd decisions the CPU make....

i think it's already on,  I was able to install in full
now it just says "Play on 10/7/14"

Mine shows "Playable in:" countdown timer with "Expected Auto-Download Date: 10/05/2014". Is that correct? There was no notification anything was downloaded. System set to download/update everything automatically is enabled.

Steve Kerr still announcing? :x :x is it when he's not coaching :x :x
