of course.. if you're orlando you want the best deal possible

but what do you do if you're OKC? don't you want to find the best deal for you?

You aren't in the driver seat.  Orlando asks for Russ and Ibaka, you say yes.  Period.  Case closed.  You say yes, you don't waste time with take this guy instead of that guy.  Nate and Cole are throw ins to help the money, a draft pick, maybe even another body, but the principles are and would be Russ and Ibaka, and you simply nod and smile and say yes.  That's the only way it works, because then you have to sell Dwight on OKC if he truly wants to live in a big market.

D12 needs to just tell Otis he's not going to resign or that he is, but he's too nice and doesn't want to offend the Orlando public.

Dwight already covered his bases last week saying the Magic need to make changes to win a championship and re-sign. Of course, the Magic have little to no assets to make such changes so he won't be the bad guy when/if he decides to leave.

this is the only way it works.. and it's easier to sell dwight on OKC if you say you have KD (22), harden (21) and ibaka (21) to play with you

if anything is/has been shown by otis smith and orlando is that they aren't in the driver's seat

if i'm presti, i essentially want to come out with a starting lineup of maynor-harden-kd-ibaka-howard.. and hopefully retain collison and not have to take back gil's contract

OKC is stuck with Perkins... Especially in any deal with Orlando... I can't imagine any reason why Orlando would want Perkins.

If you're Oklahoma City and Dwight would stay, you do Westbrook/Ibaka and run, I think.

people in the media are making such a big deal that there were people at the airport waiting for Rubio. You kidding me? Why can't this franchise give him a warm welcome. The fans and the franchise is excited to see him.

"Treating like him a rockstar." "Putting pressure on him" "he's going to be a bust he didn't do nothing n Europe"

Dear gawd shut up please

Didn't they win like 2 titles in the past year. Yeah his stats are not knocking people over but c'mon....

I'm sayin.  I'd like to find a way to get Dwight and keep Bynum, Odom, Kobe and Pau too, but uhhhh, yeah.

Cake, stop reading right here, do not keep reading this, pretend I never said more.......Abouttime, think of Chicago saying no to Kobe over Deng years ago.  Think that feels good?  If you have a legit shot at Dwight, with Durant, and Harden, and the only thing they DEMAND is Russ and Ibaka + filler, YOU DO NOT HESITATE.  You keep Ibaka and he has a "Deng" like career, while Dwight has his "Dwight" career, you'll know how Bulls fans felt for the past 5 years til Rose was ready.

Ok Cake, you can come back now, sorry for that, but it was relevant.

Orlando better ship Dwight ASAP. Orlando banked on their big trade last year and they don't have any tradeable pieces besides howard to improve.

again.. i said DOUBT not wouldn't

and what demands can orlando really make in this situation? dwight is going to dictate wherever he goes AND/OR what teams will be willing to trade for him by deciding on his extension

it's dwight that has them bent over the barrel and he can do exactly what kobe did.. because it was kobe that said he wouldn't go to chicago if deng was involved in the trade

Fair enough.  Difference was Kobe would have gone to Chicago, but not been in contention still for a couple years.

Dwight could win the title next year if he joined Durant and Harden, with Perk and Maynor on board as well, and hopefully Collison.

Kobe would have wanted Deng to help be another piece, Dwight may like Ibaka, but he won't NEED him to win a title with that crew.  Big big difference.
