I mean yeah, all you have to do is get the NBA to allow 6 million dollars being traded for 17 million, other than that, you're all set.

So you might want to add Nate, Cole, maybe even Collison if you're the Magic, and then they need to sign Westbrook and Ibaka.

And then you just convince Dwight to want to play in OKC.

But Dwight, Durant, and Harden would be OUTSTANDING.

 Maynor would be freaking overjoyed.

Would be a great trade but there is NO WAY Dwight signs in OKC, everyone is convinced he wants to go to a big market.

the only way dwight howard ends up in LA is if he goes to otis smith and pulls a carmelo (which doesn't really work since NY did have the cap space to sign him outright.. obviously he got a bigger deal by sign the extension with denver then getting traded)

a number of teams can offer better deals than the bynum/LO offer AND take back 1 of those horrible contracts.. hell i could see the nets pulling another deron williams type deal

and from OKC's side the only way they even considering trading for howard is if he agrees to an extension

- and sidenote, CP collison's contract was only 13 mill for this year (kinda like a signing bonus so we could have him for cheap the rest of the contract).. next year he's making the same as cole aldrich

- i doubt we would trade ibaka.. we would offer westbrook, perkins, thabo or cook, expiring contracts, cheap contracts and drafts picks FOR howard and 1 of their bad contracts (hedo first, gil second)

That includes the need for LeBron James to reinvent himself, as some have suggested.

"He's got a go-to game. He doesn't have to have a go-to move," Riley said during an informal season-ending media session at AmericanAirlines Arena. "I mean, I love reading all the people who've never coached in their life, that all of a sudden became experts about he needed a 'go-to.' He's got a go-to game.the
"He knows what he needs to do to get better as a player. He's 26 years old and I think there's another huge upside for him."

Riley said if there is one area where James could make a breakthrough, it's with the addition of a mid-range game.

"Trying to find separation and raising and making jumpers, a lot like what Dwyane (Wade) did, when Dwyane really broke through," Riley said. Heat.

Guess even Riley won't go hard at lebron. He don't need a first move or a postgame? where was that "go to game" in the finals? everyone around lebron basically tells him he is great the way he is. That's why his game doesn't dramatically improve

But to all the stat people saying lebron's mid range is near the best, Pat the Rat thinks that's where he can make a breakthrough.

Wouldn't trade Ibaka for Dwight Howard?  Then you're doing it wrong.

If you can have Dwight Howard, and you say no, we want to hold on to Serge Ibaka, no matter how good that kid gets, you are screwing up, BIG.

at Riley saying we all stupid and never coached a day in our lives, then says the exact thing almost all of us have said, he needs a mid range game.  No @#$% Pat.

i said doubt.. and the reason i doubt is because i don't think we need to include him (considering any of the potential offers out there.. unless it's what chad ford proposed on the simmons' podcast)..

look at the deal i proposed.. orlando gets 3 starters out of it (westbrook, perkins and thabo or cook)

cap relief (nate, ivey and cook are expiring.. plus we take back 1 of their bad deals.. hell orlando could prob throw duhon in the deal too, if they do turk as the bad contract)

draft picks

and then they have the ability to turn around and trade nelson for something (we can assume westbrook starts at PG)

You're Orlando, you have the big chip, who would YOU want, Perk or Ibaka?  Ibaka is the answer.  Each and every time.

of course.. if you're orlando you want the best deal possible

but what do you do if you're OKC? don't you want to find the best deal for you?

hence why you negiotaite.. and in that negiotation process you look at what others teams could potential offer

You aren't in the driver seat.  Orlando asks for Russ and Ibaka, you say yes.  Period.  Case closed.  You say yes, you don't waste time with take this guy instead of that guy.  Nate and Cole are throw ins to help the money, a draft pick, maybe even another body, but the principles are and would be Russ and Ibaka, and you simply nod and smile and say yes.  That's the only way it works, because then you have to sell Dwight on OKC if he truly wants to live in a big market.
