Age is always a problem.. But if your team is stacked with depth, age becomes a small liability.

I think Celtics-Heat would go 7 again if they meet up.

He was absolutely AWFUL the entire year besides that last game in the Finals. I'd go as far as saying he was one of the worst major rotational players in the entire league last year. The other games in the Finals against OKC he scored 0, 4, 2 and 2 points. Against the Celtics he had two more games of zero points. If you wanna stack up your team with guys that you're counting on to blow **** for an entire year and pray for them to have one lucky game then go ahead.

no prayers needed. the Miami heat played as a team. role players stepped up when they needed it the most. be it miller, battier, cole, chalmers, or bosh.

All the depth in the world aint gonna be worth a damb if lebron chooses to go terminator mode and ray allen and shard lewis play at 50%.

That's a bold statement. Only way the Celtics get any where close to 7 would be if they catch absolute fire like they did this year

They played as a team.....? When the hell was this? They basically played 3 on 5 the entire year except those 3 were better than anybody elses's 3 in the league. Pretty sure their Big 3 combined for like 85% of their scoring for the season. Cole and Miller were getting bench splinters for a big portion of the year, and Battier looked REALLY, really bad for the whole season besides the first two games of the Finals. Chalmers was their only role player who could be somewhat counted on to make a few plays happen.

Heats main contributors of course are going to be the Big 3. That does not mean the role players did not step in and do their part when called upon. Battier played stout defense and occasionally made the 3 when he was open. Chalmers was inconsistent at times, but he still remained a focal point as well. This Heat team is dangerous period. We saw what 2 people did to the Indiana Pacers. We saw what 1 person did to the Boston Celtics. And we saw what the entire team did to the Oklahoma City Thunders. Really are we going to play the ifs and buts game now? Heats could of done that if the Pacers pulled it off when Bosh went down, but all people would post here are Lebron James choke Meme's and Gifs.. Fact of the Matter is.. The Heats are Champions. They added Two pieces that will boost their outside shooting (which was already deadly to begin with).. The Celtics added Jason Terry, but also a lot of Miles. They Can beat the Heats, but to me it's almost like a 25% chance now.

i change mine up all the time :lol you had yours the same for a lonnnngg time so i was used to it.

Pierce was healthy?....
Ray wasnt neither
Green didnt play...
Celtics can beat the heat

Exactly.

+

That no call on Rondo gettin' nailed in the face by Dwyane was probably the worst no call in recent NBA history >:

can? of course they can. Hell the bobcats can beat the heat.

unfortunately for the salty lebron haters.

The heat won.

He got the ring.

He in the olympics w/ Kobe hunting.

we are talking about next season... :rolleyes

And a year older will make the Celtics healthier? KG will never be as fresh as he was this year going forward.

That was a 5 game series (again) if Bosh didn't miss the first 4 1/2 games. Jason Terry and spare parts don't make up the difference.

And what the heck are the Lakers doing hiring Eddie Jordan to implement the Princeton offense when Nash is your big off-season upgrade?

After Miami destroyed OKC, everyone acts like they're unbeatable and they're going to cruise to 3-4 more chips. Guys, they were down 2-1 to Indiana and they were down 3-2 to Boston. With or without Bosh, the real reason they started walking through teams once he came back was that Lebron playing the 4 caused a ton of matchup problems. Teams were not ready for that.

Yes they won and they deserve props but it's not like they swept through the playoffs. They are beatable. They still have issues that could creep up at anytime. Wade's health. Wade/Lebron coexisting. Bosh getting touches. True center. Good point guard. They aren't a perfect team.

At the same time, Boston fans need to understand that considering the age of the team - health in the playoffs is not probable. It's not just injuries, it's just the wear and tear from the season. KG and Pierce had nothing at the end. That's much more likely to happen than both of them staying 100% healthy. Don't forget that KG put up MONSTER numbers and was playing like a top 5 center. You just can't expect that type of production from someone with his injury history and his age - and that's what Boston will need to compete at the top of the East.
