The Celts have an old core and a bunch of new FA signings, so it's impossible to say whether they'll remain in the elite until the season actually starts.

Indy is basically the best bet at dethroning the Heat in the east.

Until the next season starts the Heat have earned their bragging rights.

Earned. not given.

I am not a wizard so will not predict the celtics beating the heat.

Let's be real, everyone and their mommas wanted the Heat to lose.

But I for one don't mind cheering for the bad guys. Hell I grew up as a yankee fan.

Now can one of you Damb Heaters fan hit the like button on this post????

The kid wants his little ribbon to turn green

If no one can beat the Heat then why even have discussions about the NBA ? Lol midas whale lock this thread up and not play the next 5 seasons and just give the chip to LeBum and Co.

I mean, If Boston cant beat them then neither can LA, OKC, or NY. After those four teams , who else is there ?

I have faith in my squad moving forward and i believe as it stands, when taking everything into account, that Boston is the second best team in the NBA after the Miami Heat. Not saying that will hold true after this year, but right now the Celtics are a problem. I think theyre going to take the East and that boy Rondo gonna win MVP.

The Knicks are on the comeup in a serious way but ehhhh idk about them cats this year. Melo gonns find a way to fail

just like the Heat were gonna easily win it all in 10-11 :rollin

OHHH dallas isnt gonna beat them... Heat are gonna sweep them...

:lol

lolwut zyzz?

If OKC matures I still have them as the favs in the west.

I would love for NYK and BK to make noise in the playoffs.

BOS i hope they fall into the cesspool of mediocrity but they are a good team.

So my assessment going into this season.

1) MIA

2) OKC

3b) BOS

3c) LAL if they get dwight lulz

And a strong wish. The Eastern conference goes back to its dominant ways.

^I don't think anybody can deny that the Heat wilted like a flower and said "Dallas, please take this Finals from us". That's not knocking Dallas either, Dirk stepped up and they played their ***** off. But the Heat choked like Romo was leading them and it was pretty obvious.

OHHH Miami is going to get owned by the Thunder so bad.

Except yours happened two seasons ago, while this one happened last season.

Miami is the most hated team, did you honestly expect them to win a poll? :lol

No one on here is nostradamus so we can't predict what's going to happen next year. All we can do is just simply give our opinions on what's going to happen next year, biased or unbiased.

With that being said, imo the heat are the clear cut favorites to win it all. They are very good defensively, and have 3 players that they can throw the ball to and consistently make plays, one of whom is the best NBA player in this past decade.

I'm not saying that the Heat are going to win next year, but if one is to logically pick a team to win it, who would pick against them? Bosh, Bron, and Wade are just too good and Rio is extremely underrated at that PG spot. He gives them exactly what they need from that position; good shooting, a thief, attacks, isn't afraid, and is confident as hell. Combine that with Ray Allen, another weapon who is just going to benefit from the attention of The Big 3?

It's the Heat's championship to lose next season.

no prayers needed. the Miami heat played as a team. role players stepped up when they needed it the most. be it miller, battier, cole, chalmers, or bosh.
All the depth in the world aint gonna be worth a damb if lebron chooses to go terminator mode and ray allen and shard lewis play at 50%.

THIS!
:smokin

:lol @ BOS taking MIA to 7 if they meet up next season.

They are nothing without Garnett, who is a ghost whenever Bosh is playing starter's minutes.

If they meet up again, the C's are out in 5.

As long as Miami big 3 don't get injured they winning it again.

They are replacing Mike Miller with Ray Allen.

MIKE MILLER,

RAY ALLEN.

Just like how the Thunder were the prohibitive favorites to win this year's Finals after their dismantling of the Spurs right?

It's a two team race in the East (Miami and Boston) no doubt about that, especially with the Bulls team missing D. Rose for the bulk of the season and the complete overhaul of their bench.

Man Garnett punks out Bosh every time they play

Likewise, which is huge for MIA since BOS struggles to score.

Look at Garnett's numbers in the 2nd round last season.

Look at Garnett's numbers in the first 5 games of their series this year, then look at his numbers in the last two games. Dude went from 20/10 (only Howard was putting up numbers like that at the 5) to 13/6.

Bosh outplayed him in Game 7, in particular.

The same was said about mike miller, all they need Jesus is to do is come off the bench in the playoffs, hit a couple of 3s, pump up the team / crowd and that's it.
