I haven't doubled up, I just wore the pair, didn't want to go through the hassle

ya i think im just going to keep them as i cant really seem to find them elsewhere below retail. Im just so anal about this kind of stuff but i have to let it go, i know it sounds rediculous. Do you have a pic of the dbr with the issue?

I'll have to defer to other members of the board who own 1400s. I've never tried on a pair.

same as 1300 model, you can size 0.5 down from your 998/997 size IMO or 990 size since you own the cobblestone IMO.

I have a wide foot so my 1300/1400 pairs are the same as my 998/997 size

Thanks. I don't have my cobblestone yet but I went tts. I have the brooklyn bridges in my tts size and they fit a bit odd. Can never quite get comfortable

Im actually looking at getting a pair of Brooklyn bridges right now in the same size as my J Crew 998s.  Do you think that they will fit similar?

i recommend sizing .5 down for the brooklyn bridges.

i recommend sizing .5 down for the brooklyn bridges.

.5 down from my 998?  I wear a 7.5 in the 998 so going down even smaller will be next to impossible to find a size 7 lol.  Thanks for the heads up though.

I wear the same size as you in 998s and I wear a 7.5 in 850. You should be fine with a 7.5.

just got a pair of 997dte in and the suede on one of the toe boxes is really smooth and tight, on the other it has much more nap and not nearly as tight. dont know if i am describing this accurately but has anyone else had a similar issue?

i think that's just the nature of pig skin suede.  like some parts of the pig will be more/less hairy than other parts.

If you have a contact in Japan, specifically Tokyo/Osaka...it looks like there will be plenty of stores having them.

They also have an online method through "Shop New Balance". You can apply for a random drawing/lottery for the shoes but you need a Japanese address.
