How often do 997s drop below retail? Should I strike as soon as they release or wait for a slight discount?

Pretty sure every gr pair of 997's that have come out have been available for under retail. eBay's always a good option imo. there always seems to be a couple sellers with fsr's selling for below retail.

If you have a contact in Japan, specifically Tokyo/Osaka...it looks like there will be plenty of stores having them.

They also have an online method through "Shop New Balance". You can apply for a random drawing/lottery for the shoes but you need a Japanese address.

The shoes will be released 2/28 in Japan. Retail 32000 yen (About $260)

Unfortunately, I'll be back in the States at that time for a wedding so I'll have to get them stateside or online.

Do you know if they will eventually fall in price below $200.00... kinda of steep for those shoes.

Not exactly. Just posted on the last page that I was able to phone order a pair from Creme in Virginia today. If anyone's still looking, give them a call.

You're right that they won't hit clearance, but there's still some pairs out there if you dig.

Titolos images are bad imo. Colours are washed out and overexposed.

The pic i posted is an exaggeration, but i'd bet they look amazing IRL.

Was googling and seems that some places released them mid-March, while others are releasing start of April.

I'm sure they'll make their way over to the US but i find it's cheaper to buy Made in UK NBs from EU sites anyway.

So they are going to continue producing the same ones? Someone said they were being discontinued and potentially being replaced with an all plastic one ( I think they are being sold already in South East Asia?).
