I don't realise the upper for this is waterproof until now.

completely. no other shoe does performance to casual and everything in between better than whatever the current 990 model is. grey, navy or black.

I see a lot of people put special shoe trees in there NBs with a mesh toe. What is the benefit?

To me it helps keep the shape of the shoe. I don’t use “special” shoe trees though I use the ones from IKEA.

all good, I had a 90% feeling they would be. I studied that NT NB size guide beforehand haha. I'm a true 11.5 but at that price I knew I'd be able to get my money back even if I have to let em go on ebay.

I'm gonna give that a shot tonight, see if it helps. The insole on these is super soft which is one reason they fit a bit loose. It's just a little bit of heel slippage.

tinker with lacing as well. sounds weird but there’s something to it. i bought my luxury goods tts instead of .5 down and a few weeks ago i managed to get them to fit well without an additional insole.
