So I might be late to this but now I remember why I don’t rock my 580s much. To me they look like someone stepped on them. Which is the exact opposite of the shape of the goretex. You can see the shape is significantly different and the goretex version is more upright.

Also I’m a 13 but a 12 with a 580 with room. The goretex is tighter so 12 is okay but 12.5 would be ideal maybe even back to a 13.

Interesting cause in general I’m not a big 580 fan but I knew there was something different about the gortex pair that made me get those aside from feeling much higher quality than the regular ones.
