I still mess with the new 998s, but ever since someone in here called them the 997H version of the OG 998s, I can't unsee it. They do look like a takedown version of a MiUSA pair.

damn these 530 bemburys are lite af and feel cheap. i own a lot of nbs and these are super lite - they feel like fakes from bangkok. is this just how the 530 is?

998 and 1500 shape are too sleek and lack of qc consistency .

Very sad when nb wasting their phenomenal original shape .

I remember years ago people were reshaping 1500s by cutting a panel, and regluing or something. I don’t remember exactly what was done.

Tbf, by 2019 the shape was already much improved compared to what was coming out a few years before. That makes the Chosen Fews even better in retrospective, good shape during the worst 1500 era.
