you could argue that every 99x that's current is the grandpa shoe. in 1998 the 990v2 was the tech performance model. in 2008 it was the 993. in 10 years the v4 will probably be fire flames. i'm typing this at barnes and noble right now looking across from me there's a crazy old man rocking og 992's. tied tight as hell of course

Guys, I'm so late to some of this stuff. Should be come around to NB a while ago. I just saw the "Joe Louis" 577s....my goodness

mt580xy just released not too long ago, but pretty much sold out. also the recently reissued usa made 585 has actual rollbar and is pretty accurate to the OG version. this is the shoe that the mt580 was modeled after, so that might be another option for you.

joe louis 577's are actually asian made 577's, so the shape is ehhh. materials are nice though. still not as good as a general release UK 577
