I just got these in, so I took a quick photo. I really like how they look in person.

Question: Is it common for the 991 to have "denting" on the toe wrap around the toe box? I've never owned a 991 and the ALD has it on both pairs. Before anyone tells me, yes, I know sneakers are meant to be worn. I just thought for $300 sneakers they wouldn't have this "problem."

Is it the lighting or are they actually that dark compared to the website pics?

Although the colour seems lighter in person than the stock shots, I’m totally not disappointed with these. Dope design, classic colourway on a mad comfy silhouette. Can’t go wrong imo

Regarding bumpy toe boxes:

991, has a stiff reinforced toe box/mudguard…the bumps are from the over laying fabrics (usually from the toe box structural straps on top of the toe box material and under the toe cap/mudguard)

997/998 bumpy due to a more unstructured toe box, and when different peoples feet shapes fill the space voids and stretched areas make the bumps/divots.
