New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski is not travelling to Cincinnati and will not play Sunday against the Bengals, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Gronkowski, who is recovering from back and forearm injuries and has not played this season, was officially listed as questionable Friday.
Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, who also is listed as questionable, is travelling with the team, the source told Schefter.
Amendola has missed each of the past three games while nursing a groin injury suffered in Week 1. The receiver said he had a "good practice" on Friday and is "looking forward to Sunday."
New England also will be without running back Stevan Ridley, who is out with a knee injury. Fellow running backs Brandon Bolden (knee) and Leon Washington (thigh) have been limited in practice this week and are each listed as questionable.
gronk out...danny in?
dobson almost gave me a heart attack lmao
I was dancing then he fumble.....for real...i almost lost it at that point
the only mindset should be to do whatever it takes to keep the ball away from breesat the end of the day we were bound to lose a game against an above average defense. it was going to happen given our offensive struggles.
i think we can breathe a little easy though because a) miami lost, b) no excuse to hold gronk back now
saints at home next week. belichick better have a plan ready because those guys COOKED us last time we played them, although it was in the dome last time.
dropped ballsBruh why are yall mad? I understand that we lost and our offense isn't elite but we're 4-1 and atop the division.
A costly second-quarter fumble by running back LeGarrette Blount, the 10th of his three-plus-year career, and multiple drops by Brady's receivers didn’t help the cause. Three of those drops came in the final 3 minutes, 30 seconds when the Patriots had two chances to drive for a game-tying touchdown, albeit in a driving rainstorm.
