If fact the most racist states love him! He grew up in GA, played college football in FL & AL, and plays profession in SC.

Cam won the South :lol
What? I'm not that naive.

These same news stations that were dabbing will defend the killing of unarmed black men by the police, so miss me with that.
Fax. :lol

He's the national 'black best friend.'

"Racist? Get outta here. I love Cam Newton! How can I be racist?"
Nailed it.

I'd much rather see a celebration/dance after every first down than all this whiny yelling that Tom, Gronk and Edelman do after every goddamn play that doesn't go their way.

It is what it is.

A jack del rio defense compared to a wade phillips defense is a day and night difference.

This years broncos put the hurt on people, they dont care if they get penalized

Broncos better not wear those orange jerseys.

In order for Peyton to win he has to wear white away jersey!

Elway, if you can read this, do what I say. Lol

I not saying there aren't people that hate Cam because he's black, because that is naive. I'm saying majority of his hate comes because he is a young, successful BLACK athlete. People hate the greatest when they aren't on your team. Heck, people hate you for just being successful.
I liken the Cam - racial hate to the Tebow - christan hate. They both had groups hate them because of them being black and a devout christian, but those weren't the largest hate groups, those hate groups were just the things the media could market for extra public attention and website view.

The largest part of Cam and Tebow hate is because they won on the big stage in college, were true to themselves & their personality and are unapologetic about it, and don't fitt the scouts and analysts mold of the "prototypical QB".

The fact they were drafted high AND had success in the NFL in spite of those things, the people's HATE reached ALL TIME highs and they're opinions got even louder (cuz who wants to be wrong honestly?), even when the masses still loved them. Cam making to the Super Bowl, is like when Tebow beat the Steelers.

People just hate to be wrong, and refuse to accept anything outside their own opinion and analysis.
I'm having alotttttta trouble with this one, mostly because Tim's spiritually/antics were LARGELY celebrated, and hated on by a small few.

Complete opposite with Cam. Hated on by the majority, supported by a small few.

That's my first issue with this comparison.

Second issue: the people who were/are annoyed by Tim, they were strictly annoyed by his antics. There was very little character analysis and character defamation.

Cam? "He's a thug. He's arrogant." Character slams... because of petty things that annoy them.

Third issue: football. Tim sucked at a professional level, Cam does not suck.

Then why do people hate Tom Brady?

i dont get how its ok for everyone to hate tom brady but if you hate Cam Newton it automatically makes you wrong or better yet a racist if youre not black?

yo what happened to hating people that werent on your team because they beat your team?

Tim Tebow I had a prob with as well. He was one to force his spirituality and his views onto others. Keep that stuff to yourself.

But thats just me

People will feel how they feel.
Digging into the reasons behind everyones opinion is asking for trouble

nothing irks me more than when people preach to me, I don't care if you are religious but keep it to yourself

man had this one lady who always showed up late to work, slacked, took a million breaks but god always had a plan for her

how about god's plan is to actually do your job and then you wouldn't have been fired

any cocky player who is successful is going to get additional hate, whether it's Kobe in his younger days, Brady, etc. that's one aspect.

contrast that with the hate Iverson got at the same time Kobe was widely praised. Iverson was the classless thug even though in nearly every way he was less arrogant than Kobe on the court. now that was racism, IMHO.

if anything cam is another lebron to me.

Denver's defense will keep them in it, the team they had vs Seattle relied on Peyton & the O too much. Add in the fact Seattle straight up punked them, I don't see that happening this time around.

1. People hate Tom Brady because

A) He's been dominating the league and won't go away for the last 15 years.

B) He's a perennial winner.

C) The scandals

2. It's not more or less okay to hate one over the other. It gets real suspect, though, when Cam is called a "thug" (white people's new subliminal N word) because he dances after touchdowns and tears down an opposing team's banner (even though it was given back to them, Cam has been an unbelievable role model, hands footballs to every kid, done make a wish, carries himself with positivity, etc) They did the same thing to Richard Sherman. A thug because he talked trash? How? That has to make every one criticizing him a thug too, by that logic, because they're trashing someone else.

3. That's childish imo. To be that salty and throw shade on someone because you lost.

Pretty much.

Had to learn that over time. I used to be genuinely curious as to why people hated/liked certain athletes. Sometimes the same qualities they loved someone for was the reason they hated someone else. It's just how it goes.

I hate irrational observations and opinions though. Once your love/hate towards someone or something clouds your judgment and you can't be objective on your best day, then I have no use for you.

People called Tebow arrogant because his unwillingness to change positions in the league. Merrill Hodge would RIP Tebow every chance he got on ESPN.

I do agree people call Cam a thug for dancing and etc, which is clearly racist and wrong. People have both positive and negative view on the dabbing and dancing, just like they did with "Tebowing."

Tim would have flourished in Denver, but old man Elway pulled the plug

Race is not a factor in Cam's hate? I don't see how you can look at the majority of what people on TV say and overall comments about him and say that race has nothing to do with it.

I'd say a majority of Tom's hate comes from Manning fans, fans of other top level QB's now and all time, success (of course) and people who see he/the Pats cheated and got off easy/evidence was destroyed. How hated were they outside of New York before Spy-gate.

Denver gets to pick what jersey they wear. If I were them, I would go with navy or white. I wouldn't rock the orange after last time. **** that.

This is a very different team than last time. You can make so many arguments why each team will win. Having a real hard time picking.

Spygate pushed it to another level, but it was always there.

The media and ex-players shoving that Patriots Way nonsense down everyone's throat planted the seeds. Back when Tom Brady WAS the golden boy.

not sure if #3 is directed towards me but hating a player who is on an opposing team or better yet a rival team is the EPITOME of sports.

what made baseball so great in the 2000s, more spefically the Yankees vs Red Sox rivalry was the utter disdain both organizations had for each other let alone the fan base.

and IMO it made for one of the greatest sports rivalries ever.
