Darren Woodson better get inducted, if Devin does. Man was a beast of a safety. Pivotal to those 90s Cowboys
I don’t see the correlation honestly. Being the most elite special teams player if not Dante Hall is being elite at a phase of the game many can’t do.

The Cowboys 90s dynasty have NO homegrown inductees. Which is egregious. (Deion and Haley weren’t drafted by Dallas).

Darren was drafted by Dallas. Dude should’ve been inducted a long time ago.

Hester was only a specialist man. Brian Mitchell had 14 punt return and kick return TDs AND a super bowl with the red****s but won’t make the HOF. If Hester in, so should he

He held the record for the longest… I can tell you don’t know football because he was better than D Hall

Brian Mitchell has the most kick AND punt return yards and 14 total TDs but he’ll never get in. And he has a super bowl

I’m more so looking at special teamers in the Hall, if kickers are in which some are, then Hester and Hall. They always say you gotta dominate the three phases of the game (offense, defense, and special teams). If someone on ST can completely change the game, where their contributions in that phase are historic, they’re in.

I don’t think it applies to Woodson, and I’m not saying whether he should or shouldn’t be in.

Larry Allen, Irvin, Troy and Emmitt weren't homegrown?

Woodson is definitely overdo though

Again, Brian Mitchell is statistically the greatest returner of all time. 7k punt and 14k kick return and 14 TDs. TDs only behind Hester.

And Mitchell has a super bowl ring. I don’t know why you keep mentioning Dante Hall. He was a flash in the pan.

Mitchell >>> him

But the NFL will never induct him because he wasn’t popular enough. Dude held all the major return records forever and never had been considered

Hall, Mitchell, Hester, Vinatieri, Justin Tucker, they just don’t compare to positional players on offense and defense for the HOF. We’re not moving the field goal posts now to decide which special teamers deserve it over another special teamer. That wasn’t what we started talking about.

Definitely feel like specialists deserve more love by the Hall. They're absolutely still a part/facet of the game no matter how much the league has tried to legislate some aspects of it out. .

Fully expecting Vinatieri to get in when he's eligible next year and he should. All those guys besides maybe Hall are worthy imo.

I honestly don’t watch many of the HOF speeches ever, but I would love to hear Vinatieri up at the podium talking about what was going through his mind on all those playoff FGs, or Hester talking about what he saw when the ball is received and he looks at the oncoming 11 dudes trying to stop him, prime ex.) when he returned that Super Bowl opening kickoff to the house vs. the Colts.

Special teamers play a big part, or can, including Mitchell which granted was before my time but seeing the records yeah.

Would be the first pure returner ever elected if true and there's no one more deserving/fitting :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Could also signal better HOF prospects moving forward for special teamers

Hester had 11 total TD's in his first years and didn't play WR. One of the most dangerous ever.

Media day used to be poppin, **** boring now.
Yea they killed it once they turned it into 'media week'...

It's part of the fan experience now rather than being the one designated day that the credentialed media have to get their questions in like it was before.
