It's been a few weeks, but since we're in the middle of the season, it's time to update...

Josh McDaniels (Raiders) - Never should've been hired in the first place.

The Hottest of Seats:

Brian Daboll (Giants) - No longer the worst team in the NFL, but the Giants still suck. With or without Daniel Jones.

Jonathan Gannon (Cardinals) - Thanks for beating the Cowboys in Week 3.

Frank Reich (Panthers) - Rookie QB or not, Reich ain't it.

Matt Eberflus (Bears) - The Bears no longer are the worst team in the NFL. They're still trash though.



The Rest:

Todd Bowles (Buccaneers) - Four losses in a row have Bowles' future in the toilet.

Sean Payton (Broncos) - Beating the Chiefs for the first time in eight years means his seat has cooled.

Mike Vrabel (Titans) - Will Levis may save Vrabel his job.

Sean McVay (Rams) - 3-6, so he's now on the list.

Bill Belichick (Patriots) - The Pats may be 2-7, but Belicheat will never get fired, and he will stay on this list anyway.

Daboll - with all the injuries to the team and Jones being out now, his seat has cooled. Hes gonna get the rest of the year to do something maybe even next yr too.

Gannon - first yr coach w/o the “franchise” qb and inconsistency coming from everywhere in org. Not going anywhere.

Reich - hes gonna get 2-3 yrs to figure things out in Carolina unless the team is pure the middle/end of next yr. The owner wants progression.

Eberflus - when the bears lose its hard to not blame the coach and when the bears win its hard not to give credit to the coach. Team injuries will help keep him around. Slow start next yr & hes gone.

Bowles - will get another yr in TB bc mayfield aint the future. First yr kinks is holding the team back and massive injuries on the oline.

heard something that was interesting and spot on as it relates to Vrabel being hired in NE. being a defensive minded HC, he's always going to need a good OC to be successful. but in today's NFL, any OC that shows an ounce of promise quickly gets a HC gig (for the most part). so in hiring Vrabel, you're going to potentially be in a constant OC carousel, which is terrible for QB development and offensive stability. it's almost better to have an offensive minded HC in today's NFL

And the most important thing for a defensive minded coach is finding a QB of course

yeah that's true. it just assume you can find an OC with the same/similar philosophy that doesn't have to change everything up. it's doable though
