It was crazy at the time, but in retrospect what Frank Gore did is sort of unbelievable.
Most backs that are physical more than they have speed, decline super quickly when the decline comes. And think about how many carries Gore had through all those years. I mean Dalvin tore his ACL in his rookie year (2017, fourth game) and really only had a good career from 2018-2022. Four years. Gore was double digits.

The Nnamdhi and Shaun Alexander falloff’s were incredible. Nnamdhi in particular forgot how to play football when he signed with Philly

Nmamdi was on a HOF trajectory before that fall off. That Philly air changed him. Should just stayed in Oakland with that scheme.

that drop off was wild as hell to me.. wasn’t a CB I had more faith in
but that fall was hard, had dude eating his lunch in his car solo
but the more I think about it and what we know from guys who were on that team, coaching staff as well.. really needed to blow things up and let multiple dudes get fresh starts

with Nanmdi I know we screwed up with how we were trying use him.. he was an outside CB and we tried to use him all over the place.. But I think when they tried to change things back damage was done
but he had that blend of enough speed and length to be able to direct dudes and then with his height and length he suffocated you if you went towards the boundary..you just had to keep dude away from those quick slot guys
but Andy was on his BS towards the end and also needed a change of scenery
