OFFICIAL NIKE AIR COMMAND FORCE PUMP & 180 PUMP RETRO THREAD (**NEW ACTUAL PIC ON PG 1)

Sux that you've had bad experiences with Adidas products recently. I've made the switch to Adidas for the bulk of my purchases over the years because of the decline of Nike quality. All the Adidas I've purchased have been bullet proof and held up quite well. The Kazuki Kuraishi Adidas have been especially well executed.

The pre-crumpled toe box on the pleather that someone posted on the last page especially turned me off of these Command Forces, even though I love this shoe.

This should be unacceptable and shouldn't have made it pass quality control. From what I've read, there's a lot of quality issues with this shoe.

I think the first run of commands has the issues and the run with a production date of May to august is your best bet

Because you probably grew up with it. Just like how you think the music from your generation is better than what's out now and people from the previous generation have the same feeling about what they came up with.  Also shoes had a more "form over function" thing in the 90s.

If i had to grow up with the music nowadays id probabaly have blown my brains out already

I copped this morning, and I am rockin them tomorrow to Disneyland! Im gonna crease these bad boys up the same way I would 25 yrs ago. I love em. However, my right pump doesn't actually pump! Im debating on taking them back, but I dont think it really matters. Im not pumping these.

Yeah my left pair is like that too. Im assuming these will hit the outlets because of all these issues with the shoes. My production dates are 5/14-7/10

Yeah that was my second pair. My first pair had a production date of 5/14-7/15 and were perfect. Too bad I had to size up and buy a 9 and those were the defective ones.

I can absolutely tell you that a Lebron shoe is all about form AND function.

The reason that they used all that leather was because there were no better materials on the market that offered durability, flexibilty, and comfort.  That was the height of shoe technology back then.

To argue that shoes from the 90s are all about form instead of function and today's sneaker are all about function is a very narrow viewpoint.

Almost every part of todays shoes is some kind of "technology/innovation" flyknit, hyperfuse, flywire, max air, zoom air, carbon fiber, etc. Can you really look at the Lebron 12 and tell me that shoe is more about style and design than all these stupid new advancements they're making in shoe science? Back in the day you had an air unit and **** tons of leather with an absurd amount of ankle padding and they used design elements to make it look good. Its easy to see in the Jordan line how it seemed like aesthetics were the main focus but they still had performance components from the time period but as time went on, basketball shoes in general just started to look more aggressive and more catered for the court.

whats the cushioning comparable to?

Worst cushioned nike/jordans i have ever worn were the retro 1 and these latest vi retros lol

The vi is cool with my reebok shock pad insole but for the retro 1 i put a full length zoom insole in them and they still felt like **** :lol

id say they have good cushioning and are 100 times better/more comfy than any of the recent 1s but not as comfy as say the XXs or the 03 XIIs, i walked in a parade with them and my feet didnt hurt at all

Man these are a notch above the jordan retro comfort imo. I usually wear running shoes so my feet are spoiled

NDC shipped my size 14, yusssssssssssssss!

This was one shoe I really wanted...so glad it wasn't a pain. I still can't believe I slept in until 11:30 and still copped. CAN'T WAIT!

Mine came in today. Disappointed in the pleather, but very happy with the overall construction. Zero flaws, except that the left shoe seems to hold more air than the right. Production date of May/August.

The best way to describe the fit is that they're VERY true to size. Plenty of width, but the length is juuuuust good enough. I also felt that slight pinch that another member had mentioned, but it isn't because the shoe is narrow. Like he said; it's because there's a seam above the pinky toe that rubs against your foot.

I would advise anyone to get your true size, but .5 size up would be just as good. You're not exactly going to have heel slippage in these

Your pinky toe gettin eaten up by that stitch too? I just wear slightly thicker socks. So far so good, but I agree, plenty of room in these unless you're Donald Duck.

Not too badly, but I can feel it. Slightly thicker socks and it's not a problem at all.

I've had similar problems with a couple pairs of ATC IIs and some other synthetic leather models. It goes away eventually once you break the shoe in.

Yeah I understand what you are saying

It was egregious that these hadn't been retroed until now, I can't think of another glaring retro omission that was like this

Nike had basically retroed every model of great signification that was over 15 years old except these

I like the Command Force, but I prefer these.......so I'm still waiting and hoping:

The command force pumps are probably the only Nike I will ever buy that is considered a high top. I tried the vintage revolutions and they fit horrible on me. I got my regular Nike size but they fit sooooo big. The command forces however fit very nice and are not awkward.
