Dunno' about a themed-sneaker, but IMO, he's doing something even more meaningful:Originally Posted by The Game is a Foot
Ok...
So it's November... Lebron has been in NY for like 2 days already... The Knicks host the Cavs tonight...
And for the first time in 3 years there's NO NY themed sneaker quickstriking around these parts??
I damn near feel indirectly disrespected... It's almost like they're f'ing up tradition...
Dear New York,
Thank you for welcoming me back to New York City, one of my favorite places to play in the world. The Big Apple has always been good to me so I wanted to do something special to show my appreciation.
With this in mind, on November 7, 2009, I'm going to open seven gyms around NYC to host free open runs for high-school aged players. I remember being in high school and just wanting to play ball as the seasons changed from fall to winter. The Ohio winter made it tough to play outside so I always saw the opportunity to play in a nice gym as a gift.
It is in giving that I've found the most strength, whether it's on the court with my teammates or at home with my family. In giving this gift of the game to New York City, I want to share that strength with people who love the game as much as I do.
Peace,
LeBron James

yeah it seems pretty flimsy. i'm not a huge fan of flywireOriginally Posted by 1212theory
hmm after finally seeing a pair in person, id say its safe to say ankle support is required. i dont understand how fly wire in the newer shoes can offer ankle protection? when your ankle rolls, it doesn't look like anything will minimize the impact, basically it would be the same as wearing lows.
That's the same way I felt wearing the Hyperdunks. I don't have these so I can't judge but it might be wise to try a half size downthe next time to try them on.Originally Posted by KingJay718
Is it me, or does it feel like you're gonna come out the shoe when u walk or ball? I bought my correct size, hut when I lace them up to the top eyelet, no movement. Just an observation.
