I actually remember when JCPenney sold $100+ Nike shoes in the '90s. But they stopped carrying that stuff by the early 2000s. I believe I saw the Penny 1 at JCPenney during that decade. Most younger generation peeps wouldn't know they sold stuff like that during that decade because either they weren't born or too young to know.

I have an old pair of blue 1/2 cents with the blue jewel swoosh that are too small now and unwearable. Used some acetone to remove the Nike checks and will probably use the Laces too for my SS pair. Going to use infinity barge cement to attach the Velcro to the swoosh.

The air chambers have been my biggest gripe. I LOVED my 2000 pair. I do not know why they keep making the air chamber blue or black.
