Put the first 5 miles on my red trainers and wow. They are quite comfortable. For the past....2-3 years all i ran in were Frees. I normally don't run more then 3-5 miles though. But man I felt like i could run forever in these things. Had no leg fatigue.
Still love my free's for cross training and they really help out since i play soccer strengthen my feet/calves. But this weekend me and the flyknits are gonna hit the road see where i end up :lol
I better get volt trainers tomorrow...

heh, i hope you don't end up with blisters like i did...maybe it's just because i have ever-so-slightly wider feet...but i can't really do any serious distance with running in either the fk trainers or racers without gettin' painful blisters...so they've been relegated to just casual wear for me...

i'll stick w/ my saucony (kinvara 3) and new balance (minimus mr10) running shoes for now...with my skechers (go bionic) tossed in here and there for 0mm heel-toe drop feet strengthening action. i did pick-up the nike (free oly powerlines) recently...but have yet to do any serious running in them just yet...

i think for me personally, the fk trainers/racers aren't really "minimalist" running shoes that i've fully transitioned and fully subscribe to now...

FYI.....  Luke's Locker is rockin the Purple Ladies Flyknits right now.  Get'em while they are hot

Running Center has some men's Royal Blue/Green ones as well in the Trainer+ (new look I haven't seen out before)

Better get on them now.  Not alot left already.

Those Royal Blue/Volts seem to be calling my name

For those that ordered from Luke's Locker, anybody get a ship confirmation e-mail yet?

Fair enough but then what's the point of the Trainer? I get that the Racer is a running shoe, but where does the Trainer fit in?

To add to RXF45's answer.... The trainer would be more of an everyday running shoe to put miles and miles on. The racer is a more specific "Race Day" shoe meant for marathoners on the day of the race. The trainers are much more mass appeal and the racers are more narrowly defined. I think Nike's manufacturing represents my theory as well. The initial release had 8 color-ways of the trainer and only 2 of the racer. Additionally, the Trainer was available in many more places than the racer. My local Finishline finally has the Trainer in store and does not carry the racer.

On a side note, the Lunar 1's will be a much broader release, and the lunar sole has a much broader appeal.

They take a few days.  I got 2 pair from there, and no notification until after they shipped pretty much.  Hated it, but they came regardless

ordered from lukes locker yesterday morning - no email notification, but order status shows was picked up by UPS yesterday afternoon - should be here in ca on friday

BTW - has anyone verified what new colorways (beside electric green, volt/red, volt/blue, court purple/violet - as on runningcenters.com) are releasing next and if they are in fact releasing tomorrow 10/4 on ndc - nikestore twitter has said nothing since that inital 9/26 post

it will be all the OG release colors PLUS the electric green and purple CWs. official too btw.

Would love to know what time for these..8? Noon?

So did anyone notice if running center put up a fsr of the purples online ? Only a few sizes left Or did u guys buy them all up?

Im pretty sure they are all unisex.
the purple/black in the picture is different from the purple/white on lukes locker which is listed as a women's color with a different width (B) then the men's (D) for all the other colors.... damn? lost.. as this will be my first pair

I have checked the NIKE site all day, everyday since 10/1, and only late yesterday they actually had an image for the FlyKnits on Nike.com.  So, nothing has been posted as available for sale.  They only have the two images up, and both have been "Sold Out" since those came back up.

Seems like all the other retailers were ready for the "4th" but Nike.  I'll keep watching, because I have them all bookmarked, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope at this point.

PS....  who was saying FootLocker had them??  I'm guessing that was in-store, because their site does not list them at all.

I am assuming it will be at 8 EDT with the rest of the releases aka Bron X photoblue and Penny V Orlando.

So be ready for a super slow NDC. I am watching Nike's twitter and refreshing nikestore

edit: welp....i guess not :lol
