kobe 6 xmas is kind of cool. as far as kobe in the same sentence as mj.....nope. mj took a bulls team that was the clippers of that time and turned them into a dynasty. 6 championships, 6 mvp's. people quickly forget the greatness of mj. i like kobe too, but sorry, he is no mike. that being said, i'm ready for the kobe 6.

They use that material to reduce weight, not because they're poor quality. Leather would make the Kobes heavier.

Don't agree with the second sentence, but agree 100% with everything else. People overlook how much impact MJ had on the NBA as a product and as a marketable industry. Kobe does not come close to what MJ did, to bball shoes, to the nba, or on the court. Simple fact. Ask anyone in the sports industry and you'll get that answer.

As much as I dislike the fights Nat Turner picks on NT for no reason, I gotta say he's making kids look like fools in here. Dudes bringing up jersey sales? Altitudes being for hypebeasts? Kobe being most marketable player in '03?

C'mon now. Nike decided to build an entire brand around Jordan after 12 seasons in the league. Tell me anyone else that can say that. Sure as hell not Kobe, maybe Lebron will reach that but I doubt it. I don't have numbers to back it up, but I bet some of JB's team shoes outsell Kobes on a yearly basis. Everyone is drawn to the Jumpman, old and young.

Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron stans need to take a step back and just appreciate the shoes. Appreciate whats done on the court and stop the childish bickering.

Limited shoes only help GR sales if people find them appealing. There's plenty of limited Nike retros that release that sit at HOH. So if people find the shoe appealing, of course limited releases are going to help push a shoe, why wouldnt they? You say that like it's a horrible thing or something.

And the only other post I saw you had was where you mentioned Kobe sales in Asia, mentioning that Jordan Brands 9 Billion must only come from the US, but you know damn well it didn't only come from the US and that's the point you were trying to make to the person you quoted.

My point was using Jordan Brand as a comparison is pretty pointless because as a whole their sneak line is unmatched by any other signiture line. You wern't the only one bringing JB up, that's why I threw that in. The rest was just a rant on my part.
