Official NT dad thread: can the dads get love

At bedtime

Jimbo (my oldest) :daddy guess what

Me : what up

Jimbo : well ( proceeds to tell a 30 minutes story)

Says and then about 1000 times

His excitement for telling and being listened was worth it

Man it's amazing how kids always manage to think of some extra long winded story to tell when it's bedtime..:rollin

My son's in 3rd grade and he said he wants to sign up for the wrestling team at his school..

it was a good 2-2.5 months for me...and everything felt normal for me, like how it was before the pregnancy.

How long after your kid was born did you start having sex again (with the bm) though?

I think it was 3 months after? I knew it was going to be a while and would suffer....But those first three months, your time and energy is towards helping your wife and caring for your baby.

Damage from the first delivery was brutal.  We tried at 6 weeks, but she wasn't ready.  Couple weeks later it was a go.  After the second, it was all good at 6 weeks.

I'll never forget the day I went to pick up my son and kindergartners were high fiving him on their way back to class. (he was 2). Had my chest puffed out all day like my son was the coolest kid in school.

Not specifically a dad thing but more of a man thing but I ain't ashamed about my lack of knowledge regarding cars. I hate foolin' with em. I don't like to get my hands dirty and just was never interested in em but thank God for YouTube and the folks who put up tutorials for changing headlights and break lights. Felt like a man's man last night when I changed my headlights. Like straight old school dad mode, like anything was possible (word to KG). By the time my girls get old enough to deal with cars I'll have a decent set of knowledge under my belt

Yeah, always good to know some basic stuff...  I can do some stuff with supervision by my car buddies.  I used to love modifying my car but I dont feel confident enough to tackle big stuff without my buddies around me.

Next up should be changing engine and cabin air filters.  Those are the easiest money savers, IMO.

For the engine filters K&N is always clutch, saves money in the long run. Never let the oil places charge you for cabin filters, you can cop those online for multiples compared to what they charge.

I always looked at it like it was Arabic and now it's coming together. May even try to learn more since it's not as difficult as I thought
