OFFICIAL NYk '22 offseason thread, RJ extended

30 ball for Obi but if he plays heavy mins maybe more. Feed him, I know I saw Quick try to freeze him out right after he hits the 3. Sucka *** ***** **** fr.

I thought I was the only one that noticed. IQ can be effective, but definitely has a selfishness to him. He does the same thing to RJ and even Randle.

It’s just not his natural position. But it’s not really about IQ or Deuce’s development for this dude Thibs. He goes with guys he trusts. He covets the point guard position more than any other. He’s not handing the keys over to the offense to any rookie he doesn’t know unless absolutely necessary. He has assistant coaches for that.

Jimmy B averaged 8 min a game in his and he wasn’t ever going to be his ballhandler. Everything starts with defense. Son has to learn the offense but also once the game slows down for him it’s go time. He has flaws but they’re workable. He’s a worker, I figure. Tough one too.
If Jericho ever found a jumper he’s never going 58th, much less 4 years in school. Him & Mitch would be gr8 for the next few years. Guaranteed control of the boards. Another thing Obi has to get better with as a big.

Thibs with no options will sharpen the kids like steel. The best version of Cam Reddish still has it waiting to be tapped. The offense gonna come with reps & confidence as it was before he got hurt. He gonna have to improve his defense, like Obi has, to get even more time. Prototype measures. Smooth game. Almost looks like he’s taking the game easy.

1 szn of madness with these kids playing out of position is all I can take. IQ has shown he can run an offense in spurts but also that he’s not ever gonna make others better. He will always look to shoot 1st.

Deuce is clearly not comfy standing on the side. If he don’t give him the rock, that’s a waste of his talent & a pick.

It's very known and clear that Thibs is a terrible judge of talent.

He never thought JB was a star even when it was evident he was a star.

He is also on record saying such dumb ****.

BTW, RJ is out for strain knee and will take a MRI to see if there's any damage to his ACL.

He was also on record for wanting Minnesota to draft Draymond whatever pick they had that year. Not everyone hits 100%. It’s always a gamble.

You would agree that Deuce has such potential tho to run the team better. Just needs the ball in his hands. He’s a real distributor.

Imagine that ...

Having

Carlos Boozer
Taj Gibson
Loul Deng
Joakim Noah

And wanting to draft Draymon Green. LMAO ******* clown...

Fire that MF and I know you're trying to equate drafting Green as a good judge if talent but **** no ..... this is about knowing talent and molding a team.

Whatever , end of the day these Knicks are clearly talented & he is still the HC. His formula for defense proven. Offense is as easy as giving the right guys the ball.

They have the players now Leon needs to shore up the roster. Mostly addition by subtracting.

I’m not about to look up the mfers full draft history/influence neither to prove some point. Fact of the matter is he’s there & we’re on NT. Clearly he did something right in that lane.

NYK always have been a defense 1st team at their best. That’s what last year was all about. All I would want from him is to impress upon those youts that identity.

Those are the terms going into this summer. Idc if he gets fired, but that’s not gonna happen apparently. I’m letting that energy go.

:rolleyes

Leon Rose about to have a chat, or it will be on, with Breen in minute. I want some explanations.

Leon laid low all season, had Thibs fighting for his life by his lonesome but wouldn't pull the trigger to let him go.

Probably why he decided to bring him back next year cause he took the brunt of the fire

keeping thibs provides a layer of safety for management. he'll get fired before they will
