Utah collects those picks they want from both teams. Knicks likely send Fournier, Cam, Deuce/IQ. Maybe they get another contract from LA to make the numbers/value work.

They will have to keep at least one of those young guards but it’s very likely the other is going to be part of a package. Still Derrick survives the purge. Maybe Leon says he can keep 1 of his favorite toys.

Obi especially is gonna have to give the squad more rebounds. RJ too. That warm body needs to be a specialist there.

Thibs runs a 9 man rotation but everyone is going to be needed. They would absolutely need Deuce or IQ; whoever is left among the guards. And a 3 bigs rotation seems to be the standard.

Grimes can slide to the 3 to cover some of those minutes too. The warm body should only get like 9mpg or so. Sims absolutely should see time at both the 5 & 4.

Moving IQ makes the most sense minutes distribution wise if Rose stays. Not enough minutes if you’re keeping Derrick. And why would you not keep him if you’re trying to make a run?

****, I’m actually all the way on board with that roster. Young, talented, and should be right up in the mix for a playoff spot if can make it the whole szn.

And **** x2 I think his salary might be needed to complete the Russ deal. Unless Utah has something to offer.

That roster needs rebounding too.
