i like these better, the sun isnt as big. it doesnt take over the whole picture.

i especially like the reflection on the second one.

Justin, what are you planning to upgrade to? For a grand, it better be a D700!

Tilt-shift or blurred on photoshop? A lower angle might improve the photo since the ground is fairly dull. You can do some dope stuff with thosecolors.

Gabe, try over-exposing by a stop and narrow down your aperture to get more of the subject in focus.

If any of you Toronto peeps come down to the Midwest, bring me some Timmy's Iced Cap with milk!

Paolo, are you mad? A brand new D700 goes for around 3000. In Canadian $, 1 grand will get me at most a D90 w/ kit lens.

but the only reason I wanted that money is because I still thought my camera was stolen. No need for an upgrade right now. Maybe in the near future though.

^^ i actually moved the location, but that was basically what i was doing. haha

i dont know what that lamp is but its %@@$+%$ BRIGHT AS HELL. IT GETS SO %@@$+%$ HOT. spotlight for something? lol idk

^ Gabe, the most ideal lamps to use are halogen work lamps like the one below. I forgot to get them instead of the clip-on lamps but I'll stick with themfor now. Also, what type of paper are you using as your diffuser? You should use vallum or tracing paper. You'll lose way to much light if you use regularprinting paper.

from my nephew's soccer game. it was kind of tough because i was shooting into the sun. he's #43 on the white/red team.

he likes this one because it looks like he's kick a kid in the butt

i dont have any of that paper. looks like i'm going to have to buy some haha.

i dont even know what this is. its just hella bright and hot though. i focused on the lamp in the second pic on purpose

$185 shipped and PPed with a Sto-fen Omni Bounce Diffuser. It was bought back in September so it's still well under warranty. I've rarely used itbecause I picked up a 580ex right after I got it. Please PM me any further questions or inquiries since it's against forum rules to make sales pitcheshere. Thanks.

A beautiful day in January, Ocean Beach San Francisco, California.
I was in a moving car, using my Canon SD880 IS.
