rap sizzle - i aint got nothing i against you. i worded it wrong by saying "mind blowing"...i shouldve saidwhat i originally typed which was that none of your past photos & recent photos really struck me nor wowed me. its just that all the pics ive seen comingfrom you are photos of your gear or something random. nothing wrong with that but from a different perspective, it may seem that youre just showing off, inwhich im sure you werent.
what i was getting at is that with all the "hype" (if you will) in photography this past year or so, it has seemed like you got sucked into it aswell...but again, im sure that you didnt since you had the reason to upgrade.
at any rate, isnt part of being a photographer having to share your photos to people? what good is a photograph if it isnt seen? whether you know the person onthe photo or not it really doesnt matter
i mean how did u get the gig of shooting for your Filipino organization? didnt you have to show your work to people to make sure THEY liked em so that you getthe gig?
or is it one of those things that Filipinos do - a family member or a friend or someone said "so and so can take really good pics so he should be thephotographer of this organization" and then you immediately got the job? (i hate that part about my family btw cuz they keep endorsing me to people i donteven know) but whatever im getting more clients because of it.
also with your upcoming endeavor to wedding photography, wont you have clients that want to be assured they are not making a mistake on choosing you as theirphotographer? so wouldnt you have to show and share them your work? which means showing them people that they dont know? i have booked several weddings in thenext few months and i know that i had to show all my clients my portfolio.
im sure it wasnt like that and you did say your reason but see,no one really knew why you never posted pics other than what you already did..only until i hadsaid something...
however from your previous flickr, didnt you have family photos and from your current flickr, dont you also have photos of your friends and other people thatyou know besides you client? so i dont really get about you not wanting to share because uploading it on flickr is already showing the world your photo......iguess its just all preference.
this wasnt an attack i just wanted to find out the reasoning behind your upgrade after upgrade each week and what not. but whatever man, keep what you doinhomie and ima keep what im doin.
