thanks.
i use a canon 5D Mark II with 4 different lenses:
Canon 28-135 f/3.5-5.6
Canon 50 f/1.8
Canon 24 f/1.4L
Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6

Has anyone used a Canon 135 f/2L ? Really interested in this lens, but i have not used it. I want a good distance prime lens with a big aperture. I can buyother lenses and convert them with adapters, but i really love the L lenses, such crisp images.

Anyway, any thoughts on this lens or pictures would be great.

can anybody tell me the difference between these 2:

- Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD VC

- Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD

i mean is there a major difference ? im not a pro i just started a couple months ago.i have a D60 and the normal stock lens.
now im looking for a lens i can use everyday.like an allrounder.which one would you prefer ? i dont wanna spend too much money since i just started and im notsure if i will keep on doing it.
thanks

I'm looking into getting the Canon 50mm f/1.8 for my XSi. Anybody with any experience with this? Is it worth getting as a beginners lens?

Yes and yes. It is a GREAT lens to start with, espcially because of its price. I highly recommend it, and I'm sure most others would too.

Bana I've heard nothing but good things about the 135 f/2 L and you can find used ones for a pretty good price. Here's some pics from my home town,Chicago. Let me know what you guys think.

Sorry for flooding the thread, there's more pics on my flickr, www.flickr.com/photos/drich87

See now I have to take another trip to Chicago and do it again... great city by the way, had lots of fun... (but I was on vacay vs. living there, who knows)

Drich, damn i love your processing! ive been inspired to do a b/w skyline pic now.. that looks incredible!

^bana, i've heard good reviews of the 135L but some say it's a little too long to handheld. although i've never used it personally, it's justwhat i've heard. the 85L on the other hand is one of the most amazing lenses i've ever used. amazingly sharp wide open and a lot of fun to use. i'ddef. check it out if i were you.

blah!
