Yeah, she was mad hyped wanting to get out through under the gate and stuff.

I placed the camera on the ground at 18mm and snapped a couple blind shots and got that one.

Posting to share a new (& potentially "fun") challenge for everyone that frequents this thread, I got a"new idea" (inspired by something I seen on Flickr)...

How about we all agree to take 1 picture, all at the same time... say Thursday, Oct. 1st, 2009 at 1:11pm? Don'tthink about it, don't pre-plan it, nothing... just have your camera and at 1:11pm Thursday snap a photograph.

Let me know, cool idea, flop, wack, too soon, not down, or down? Let me know... or we can plan to do it at a later time (give people time to read the"rules").

A couple from today. I am a beginner at skate photography. Any tips?

looks good jack, i dont have much experience in skate photography but from an audience stand point i find the key to great skate shots is the perspective. Interesting shots utilize great angles.

One thing I would suggest which might be highly over looked is to take pics of skate tricks that look more photogenic. I read skateboard mags all the time and I must say unless you are doing a sequence shot, some tricks just don't look good in a frozen single frame. Your shots are cool but nollie's just don't look as dope as kickflips, smiths, or even just an ollie. Like a trick that never looks good unless you are hucking yourself down something pretty gnarly is a 50-50 grind. No matter how I see it, they always look so uninteresting in photos.

Thanks for the input. I am going to go back and take some of flip tricks off the same spot.

Those were all shot with my Canon 50mm L 1.2 . You shoot with the 35?

i love that lens. i user a friends 50 f/1.0L a few months ago.....

i'd do anything for that thing.
