Every voting cycle I feel the same way about the utter lack of information about some of the candidates.

For real how hard would it be to put together a chart or a paragraph or something on every single candidate and get it to voters before they go vote. Why do we have stupid campaign ads and letters in the mail

Literally the flyer i got says "I have a plan to bring down inflation and lower crime". thats it....a plan...she has a plan...ok...whats the plan? How in the world are you going to bring down inflation single handedly in this global economy?

I just don't understand why they make it so difficult/shady. Are you pro choice? Do you support legalization of weed? Will you reform our mass incarceration problem? Pro guns? Pro Religion? Pro LGBTQ rights? Budget priorities?

anyway...get out there and vote people. Heading out after work today with the wife

I remember when I visited my friends in Colorado back in 2018 midterm cycle they were provided a fact sheet of all the candidates and what they stood for in their election. And they did mail in voting. I was shocked how easy it seemed. Granted they took time to inform themselves as well.

Yeah I have been googling the candidates for a few days and its laughable that i can't find any information for some of the candidates on the ballot. I might find a short bio on some but no actual plans if they are voted in

Judge of Orphans court?
Register of Wills?

Even county Exec you have to dig to find what they may actually stand for. Its an exhausting process if you really want to make and informed decision for every single person on your ballot

Ballotready.org is the site I used to get info on local candidates, but even there, the descriptions of the candidate platform are pretty scant.

It's even worse when you're looking into candidates for school board, city council, and the likes. It seems like a friends and family kinda thing, almost like candidates have tollive on your street to know what they are about.

The Republican running for my house district has the same name as the Democrat to hold the seat prior

Dem Mike Doyle is retiring otherwise we might have had a Mike Doyle vs Mike Doyle showdown

I just know some people are going to be confused by this. Hopefully not enough to matter

Also worth checking the League of Women Voters. Again, not a ton of info, but it’s laid out sensibly.

It’s satire…but he’s also serious. That dude trolls a ton. But he’s serious as well. Strange mix.
Not so strange.

We went from propaganda posters to political cartoons to internet memes.

Humor has always been used as a political tool because it is effective.

Yeah. But I mean in the way that account is. Like, it stands out from the typical right wing satire, humor.

It’s like if BallSack sports or Barry McCockiner, (Bury my cock in her) also were taken semi-seriously, verified and had some influence in politics.

I can’t put my finger on this one.

Going to vote in my neighborhood is miserable bc it reminds me I'm surrounded by a lot of awful human beings. Nice place, terrible people. I did appreciate the one good man sitting out with these though. Helped me on some choices I couldn't find much info on.
